NEED TO KNOW
It looks like Zoë Kravitz and Taylor Swift do not have any bad blood after Lisa Bonet’s pet snake got loose inside the pop star’s home.
A week after telling Late Night host Seth Meyers that her mom’s pet snake “completely destroyed” Swift’s bathroom when it got loose while they stayed at Swift’s place during the Los Angeles fires, Kravitz, 36, was recently asked if she’s been back to Swift’s house.
“Have I? No. But not because I wasn’t invited. Just because I haven’t been in L.A.,” she said with a laugh during an interview with E! News alongside her Caught Stealing costar Austin Butler, published on Wednesday, Aug. 20.

Butler interjected to say, “Yeah, that’s important to clarify,” to which Kravitz jokingly added, “No, I’m not allowed there anymore.”
During her sit-down with Meyers on Tuesday, Aug. 12, Kravitz revealed she and her mom, 57, had to stay at Swift’s Los Angeles home for “about two weeks.”
Kravitz said the snake had slithered into “a little hole” in the corner of Swift’s bathroom next to a banquette. Although her mom was able to grab its tail after it began going into the hole, Kravitz recalled it quickly getting further away.
The two called a house manager who used a crowbar to “tear apart” the banquette in an attempt to catch the snake.
“We’re ripping up the tile, we’re scratching the walls … [We] completely destroyed Taylor’s bathroom,” she recalled, noting that she offered to pay to fix the bathroom and to not let Swift know “until it’s fixed.”
Swift, however, ultimately discovered what had happened by the time Kravitz called to give her the news.

It’s no surprise that Swift took the news well, as she and Kravitz have been close friends. Kravitz shared in 2022 that the pair became close after spending time together in London during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
She also told Extra recently that she’s one of the few people who has heard Swift’s upcoming album, The Life of a Showgirl, ahead of its release on Oct. 3.
“I’ve heard bits of it. It’s fantastic. Yeah, of course,” she said. “No skips.”
