Yolanda Hadid is shutting down the criticism of her recent Instagram post that features photos of her granddaughter Khai Hadid Malik.
Khai, 4, is Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik’s daughter. On Sunday, June 22, Yolanda, 61, shared an Instagram post in celebration of her son Anwar Hadid’s birthday. The post featured images of her three children, Gigi, 30, Bella, 28, and Anwar, 26, who she shares with ex-husband Mohammed Hadid. The siblings were pictured alongside Yolanda’s granddaughter Khai spending time at the beach and at a rodeo event.
One user wrote in the comments, “This is really inappropriate. A child’s privacy should always be respected posting such a photo is not okay. Please think about how this might affect her in the future.”

Yolanda responded, writing, “Please go and harass somebody else’s feed. You are not welcome here!!!”
Yolanda previously opened up about how she creates a cozy space for her granddaughter on her Texas ranch in an interview with Architectural Digest in August 2024. “This is inspired by my granddaughter Khai when she comes, because she loves candy,” Yolanda said as she toured the property’s food pantry for a video with the publication. “I said, ‘Oma will make you one little section.’ ”

Gigi and the Hadid family have been intentional about providing a supportive environment for Khai. In a 2023 interview with NET-A-PORTER’S digital title PORTER about her work as creative director for her label, Guest in Residence, Gigi talked about balancing her professional life with motherhood.
“I think when you are a parent, you have to be intentional because, now, I literally have half the time,” she said of co-parenting with Malik. “I work when my daughter is with her dad, and that’s the time I have.”
Gigi said it was important to her that “the jobs I choose to fill that time with have to be ones that are fulfilling to me.”
