If you’ve finished binging Nobody Wants This season 2 and are already begging for more — join the club.
Loosely inspired by creator Erin Foster’s real-life love story, Nobody Wants This follows hot rabbi Noah (Adam Brody) and sex podcaster Joanne (Kristen Bell) as they try to navigate their unlikely romance. Following its debut in September 2024, the show became an instant hit. Luckily for fans, Foster told Entertainment Weekly that she “absolutely” wanted to continue the story — maybe even beyond a season 2.
“I definitely wrote it with a second or third season in mind, because I got plans for Joanne,” she said.
Nearly a year later, season 2 of the Netflix series was released on the streaming platform on Oct. 23, picking up with Noah and Joanne as they’ve “tabled” the million-dollar question — can they make their relationship work if Joanne doesn’t convert to Judaism? — and attempt to move beyond the honeymoon phase.
But by the finale, the pair’s future comes into question, alongside several big changes for their inner circle, including Joanne’s sister Morgan (Justine Lupe), Noah’s brother Sasha (Timothy Simons) and his wife, Esther (Jackie Tohn), leaving fans wondering if there is more to come.
So, will there be a season 3 of Nobody Wants This? Here’s everything we know so far about the next chapter of the beloved Netflix series.
Warning: Nobody Wants This season 2 spoilers ahead!
Will there be a season 3 of Nobody Wants This?

Nobody Wants This hasn’t been renewed for a season 3 just yet, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t in the works.
Following the release of season 2, Bell told Parade that the writer’s room is already hard at work.
“You never know if you’re gonna be able to shoot because that’s way above our pay grade, and they decide what shows are gonna be shot,” she said. “But the writer’s room is writing it right now. That we know.”
What would Nobody Wants This season 3 be about?

There’s no official synopsis for season 3 yet given it hasn’t officially been renewed, but based on the season 2 finale, there are a few directions the story could go.
Given Joanne and Noah’s brief breakup and quick make-up in the final episode of season 2, it’s likely that season 3 would pick up with them trying to move forward in their relationship. Plus, Joanne seemed to quietly come to the conclusion that she is ready to convert to Judaism.
Meanwhile, several of the supporting characters had big relationship changes of their own in the final episode, given Morgan called off her engagement from Dr. Andy (Arian Moayed), and Esther and Sasha split.
As for whether Morgan and Sasha’s friendship might turn romantic in the future, Lupe told PEOPLE she really wants to “see their dynamic play out in any way ever.”
“Tim is my favorite person to act with. He’s so fun. He’s a dear friend of mine — he’s become one of my best friends — and I just love being in scenes with him,” she said. “I am very hands-off about what the writers do and what they choose for these two characters, and I’m just excited to see any iteration.”
Rather than just falling into a romance with each other, Lupe had one other idea in mind for their characters: “I think it also could just be really fun to watch them be weird, oddball buddies roaming around town trying to be each other’s wingman or whatever,” she said.
“There’s so much potential,” Lupe continued. “I would be happy with anything.”
Who would be in the cast of Nobody Wants This season 3?

While nothing is confirmed just yet, it’s likely that Brody and Bell would reprise their roles as Noah and Joanne, and would probably be joined by their supporting cast members whose story lines expanded in season 2, including Lupe, Tohn and Simons. But, fans will just have to wait and see.
As for who might join the cast, Erin shared with PEOPLE in April 2025 that she was open to the idea of making an on-screen cameo in a third season alongside her sister, Sara Foster, who is an executive producer on the show.
“I always thought that it’d be fun to do that, but I never created a character that I thought was the perfect character,” Erin said.
Sara, however, had one story line in mind: “Maybe season 3, [sisters] Morgan and Joanne go on sabbatical and then it’s us,” she said, joking that they would “replace them.”
Erin added that she is “always ready” for a cameo.
