NEED TO KNOW
G Flip revealed why they decided to appear on Selling Sunset with their partner Chrishell Stause.
In an interview with PEOPLE, the Australian singer (whose real name is Georgia Flippo) spoke about the challenges of appearing on reality TV.
“It’s really, really hard to act natural with eight cameras surrounding you,” they say. “It’s f—ing weird. It’s so f—ing weird.”
G Flip, who is nonbinary and uses they/them pronouns, recalls filming a scene where they’ll walk into the house to see Stause, 44, and they’ll film the couple hanging out.

“It’s like, ‘Okay, G, just walk into the house, then you’ll see Chrishell and then we’ll just film you guys hanging out,” they say.
G Flip, 31, recalls questioning how they should walk before doing it. “Then they’ll be like, ‘Cut! Can you just walk again?” And then I’ll be like, “Did I just f— up the walk? I must suck at walking. What the f—?” Then I’ll walk in again, and I never thought you’d have to redo how you walk,” they say.
According to them, it’s hard for them to “act normal” on the show.
“Every scene I’m in, I’m secretly hating it,” says G Flip. “It’s not fun, and I admire all of them so much for being able to be comfortable, trying to be yourself with eight cameras around you. That s— is hard.”
The “Big Ol’ Hammer” singer says the cast is put in “real toxic environments.”
“That’s why I was like, ‘Chrishell, if I’m ever doing a scene with you, I just want it to be you and me. I ain’t coming to any of them dinners.’ They have dinners and s— goes down at dinner. I don’t want to be there,” they say.

G Flip isn’t entirely sure if they will be on season 9 of Selling Sunset even though they’ve filmed some scenes.
“I only ever want to do a little bit to support Chrishell and also to be representation,” they say. “Representation is so important for the queer space — and to show healthy queer relationships and non-binary representation.”
Adds G Flip: “So when I say ‘yes’ to going on the show, it’s for that reason and to support my wife.”
Selling Sunset’s ninth season premieres Oct. 29.
