Few reality shows have warmed hearts (and satisfied sweet tooths) quite like The Great British Baking Show.
Since its debut in 2010, the beloved baking competition — known as The Great British Bake Off in the U.K. — has become a global sensation, thanks to a combination of its charming contestants, picturesque tent and delightfully British sense of humor. Each season — otherwise known as “series” — introduces a dozen amateur bakers who bake their way through technical challenges and “showstoppers,” all in the hopes of being crowned Star Baker each week — and ultimately, the winner.
Judge Paul Hollywood has been a mainstay since the very beginning, offering his signature handshakes and sharp-eyed critiques. Prue Leith joined the judging panel in 2017 after Mary Berry’s departure. Over the years, the series has also seen a rotating roster of hosts, including current faces Noel Fielding and Alison Hammond.
While there’s no cash prize — just a coveted glass cake stand — many of the winners have gone on to write bestselling cookbooks and star in their own TV shows. Soon, another victor will join their ranks, as the newest series premiered on Sept. 5 on Netflix.
Here’s everything to know about where all 15 Great British Baking Show winners are now.

Series 15 champ Georgie Grasso became the Great British Baking Show’s first Welsh winner in 2024. The nurse from Carmarthen impressed viewers and judges alike over 10 weeks of competition, ultimately taking home the title thanks to her inventive bakes. Despite initially doubting her abilities, Georgie told the BBC in December 2024 that she’s “so incredibly proud of myself,” adding, “I don’t say that often.”
Since her win, she’s received an outpouring of support — particularly for speaking openly about living with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and postpartum depression on her social media, per the BBC. She frequently shares her bakes and recipes with fans on Instagram.
She continues to raise her three children alongside her husband in Wales.
Matty Edgell

Series 14 winner Matty Edgell has seen life shift in big ways since taking home the Great British Baking Show cake stand in 2023. Edgell was initially nominated by his then-fiancée Lara Lucienne who had asked him to make their wedding cake — but he ended up taking home the crown.
Edgell initially returned to his job as a secondary school physical education and science teacher, which he jokingly said kept him grounded. “Nothing humbles you quite like secondary school children,” he told Netflix’s Tudum in September 2024.
However, Edgell has since embraced baking full time, according to the outlet. Edgell still keeps his love of teaching alive by leading baking classes, as documented on his Instagram.
A few months after his win, he and Lara got married in May 2024.

Known on the show for her bold Malaysian flavors, the baker regularly posts baking tips and recipes with her audience, and has even spent some time with fellow contestants.
As for the future, Yusoff told Tatler in August 2023 that she plans to continue her work as a cardiovascular research associate.
“Baking used to be an outlet for me when work was too stressful, so I want it to remain a hobby, rather than a job,” she said.
Giuseppe Dell’Anno

Giuseppe Dell’Anno, series 12 winner and the show’s first Italian champion, experienced a significant shift in his professional life after taking the crown. After coming in as an engineer, Dell’Anno decided to fully immerse himself in the culinary world. He attributes much of his baking success to his engineering background, telling Tudum, “It’s no surprise that bakers with a technical and scientific background do well in the tent. After all, baking is just chemistry that you can eat!”
In 2022, Dell’Anno released his debut cookbook, Giuseppe’s Italian Bakes, which includes family recipes, many of which were sourced from his father’s personal notes. “My dad was a professional chef and baker by passion. He’s always done it with a passion,” he told The Independent in December 2022.
Beyond writing, Dell’Anno has engaged in various media appearances, including a guest spot in a 2022 episode of Bake Off Italia. He also contributes a regular column titled “Britalian Bake-Off Review” to the Radio Times, offering recaps of Baking Show episodes.
Dell’Anno continues to raise his three sons alongside his wife.

Sophie Faldo

Winning The Great British Baking Show in 2017 was just the beginning of a transformative journey for Sophie Faldo. While the former army officer impressed judges with her delicate sugar work and love of French patisserie, navigating life after her win proved unexpectedly difficult.
“I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of getting through all the episodes, but the most challenging part was what came after,” she told Tudum about her series 8 win. “It’s been a journey to find myself again since.”
However, Faldo has returned to the craft she loves most. She now runs her own cake business specializing in intricate celebration and wedding cakes and offers baking classes both in-person and online. She also revealed that she has “a ‘normal’ job now too,” though she has not specified what that is.
Faldo has since returned to the white tent in 2023 for The Great Christmas Bake Off.
Candice Brown

Candice Brown wowed fans with impeccable bakes during series 7 of The Great British Baking Show, but it was her gingerbread replica of her parents’ Bedfordshire pub that truly captured hearts — and earned her the title of “Star Baker” during Biscuit Week.
After winning the season, Brown later opened her own pub, The Green Man, alongside her brother. Located in Eversholt, Bedfordshire, the bar is a heartfelt nod to their family history. “Sometimes people do recognize me and look shocked when I deliver their puddings personally,” she told Hello! in August 2019.
Outside of running the pub, Brown has written two cookbooks: Comfort: Delicious Bakes & Family Treats (2017) and Happy Cooking: Easy Uplifting Meals and Comforting Treats (2021).
