Dancing with the Stars could be back for another twirl around the ballroom.
Season 34 of the ABC competition series ended on Nov. 25, and the latest installment was one for the books.
Not only did the show celebrate its 20th anniversary, but it also became “the most-watched unscripted reality show on TV,” as Vulture reported in October 2025.
“It’s one of the more dramatic, eye-popping transformations that I’ve ever witnessed as a research person in this industry,” Ari Goldman, ABC Entertainment senior vice-president for content strategy and scheduling, told the outlet.
Dancing with the Stars dazzled viewers week after week, and even though season 34 just ended, it’s not too soon to start getting excited for new episodes.
Here’s what to know about Dancing with the Stars season 35, including which of the pro dancers have said they would return to make more Mirrorball memories.
Will there be a Dancing with the Stars season 35?

Dancing with the Stars has not yet been officially renewed for season 35, but ABC has plenty of reasons to celebrate season 34.
The latest installment has been a ratings juggernaut since it debuted in September 2025. According to Variety, the season had its biggest premiere in five years, with a 49% increase in ratings from the previous debut.
Per the outlet, the Nov. 18 Prince-themed installment was the most-watched semifinals episode in seven years.
When will Dancing with the Stars season 35 premiere?

Dancing with the Stars has not been greenlit for season 35, so there is currently no release date.
Although a season 35 premiere has not been announced, a fall debut is likely, as every season since season 27 has launched in September.
In April 2025, the series was renewed for season 34, with Robert Irwin being the first celebrity competitor revealed, according to an ABC press release.
Will Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough return as the Dancing with the Stars hosts?

Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough have been co-hosting Dancing with the Stars since season 32 in 2023.
The series has yet to be renewed for season 35, so it has not been announced whether the duo will return for another round of hosting duties.
What have the pros said about returning for Dancing with the Stars season 35?

Season 35 isn’t confirmed, but that hasn’t stopped some of the Dancing with the Stars pros from talking about whether they would return or not.
“We’ll see about that,” Jan Ravnik told PEOPLE in November 2025 when asked about season 35. “We’ll see about it. It’s still a long way [away]. This is 2026. We don’t know.”
“It was stressful to [be] learning everything, but now, I think because I’m already in a flow, it feels so much better,” he said about rehearsing for the remainder of season 34. “And in two weeks I’m gonna be done probably. I’m gonna be like, ‘Oh, I missed that.’ ”
As for Rylee Arnold — who was partners with Scott Hoying on season 34 — she spoke about her future on the series while sitting down with Hough on a November 2025 episode of The Morning After (Show).
“We don’t know if we’re gonna be on the show until the summertime,” she said, per E! News. “I would absolutely love to do another season — if not a bunch of more seasons — in my life, if they want me there.”
Louis Van Amstel, one of the show’s original pro dancers, recently revealed he would also be up for another chance at mirrorball greatness.
“There was a side of me that said, ‘Hey, I might be OG but I ain’t done,’ ” Van Amstel said on Instagram the day after the Dancing with the Stars 20th anniversary party. “I want back in. I ain’t done. So if I would ever be asked to be back on this show, season 35, I would say yes in a heartbeat.”
Who will be the judges for Dancing with the Stars season 35?

It has not been revealed who will be the judges for season 35, but Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli were on the judges’ panel for season 34.
In addition to the regular judging trio, the latest season featured multiple special guest judges, including Cheryl Burke, Flavor Flav and Jon M. Chu. Another guest judge was Tom Bergeron, who hosted the first 28 seasons of the show, and made his first return to the ballroom since he left in 2020.
“I’m anticipating that it’s going to be a wonderfully emotional, nostalgic night,” he told TV Insider, ahead of his appearance. “It’s so much fun to watch my friends do the work. I don’t have to throw to commercials. I don’t have to worry about the timing.”
“But I’m just looking forward to being in an environment surrounded by people I really care about on live television, where there’s no second take,” he continued. “It’s my happy place.”
