Victoria Beckham and her son Cruz are looking back on the Spice Girls’ discography
Cruz posted a video of them singing “Viva Forever” on Wednesday, Nov. 19
David also chimed in vocally — and then apologized for doing so
Victoria Beckham is sharing memories of her Spice Girls days with family.
The 51-year-old fashion mogul’s son Cruz, 20, shared a video to social media on Wednesday, Nov. 19 of himself playing guitar and singing the Spice Girls’ 1998 hit “Viva Forever” at home with his mom, who provided some nostalgic Posh Spice vocals.
In the clip, the mother and son sat on furniture in what appears to be a living room as they vocalized the entirety of “Viva Forever,” released on the Spice Girls’ Spiceworld album.
“Viva forever, I’ll be waiting / Everlasting like the sun / Live forever for the moment / Ever searching for the one,” they sang in the video.
Toward the end, Cruz’s father and Victoria’s husband David is revealed to be behind the camera — as he’s then heard performing Melanie “Mel C” Chisholm’s ad-libs during the final chorus. “Sorry I ruined it,” commented the soccer legend, 50, on Instagram.
Victoria also left a comment underneath the video, seemingly reacting to her son’s impressive musical skills as she wrote, “Cruz!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️”
While his mom no longer performs professionally, Cruz is a musician in his own right. Last month, he released two new singles: “Optics” and “Lick the Toad.”
The songs marked quite a departure from his first single, “If Every Day Was Christmas,” released in 2016 during his teenage years, as “Optics” features some NSFW lyrics: “Take a thousand selfies in your bed while I trip in mine / I love me some mushrooms and good head and an erotic 69.”
However, Cruz claimed the song isn’t about sex at all after a fan wrote in a comment on his Instagram post teasing the music video, “I don’t understand why your first song had to be about sex, you could’ve written about anything and you decided to go gruesome, keep it PG sunshine.”

The musician, who’s dating songwriter Jackie Apostel, replied, “Actually, this song isn’t about sex. It’s about perception vs reality. It’s about the optics of present time, how everything is not what it seems, how we judge others and situations just from what we see and learning to care more about oneself and those closest to you than what strangers think.”
“Ironically, also there’s nothing wrong with good sex,” he concluded.

Cruz isn’t the only Beckham who’s been professionally active this year. In October, Victoria was the subject of a three-part Netflix documentary about her life and career.
After she and David attended the premiere together in October, he wrote on Instagram, “We love you so much and can’t wait for people to watch and see just how much of a warm, loving and hard working person you are.”
“We are so proud,” he added at the time.
