Even Travis Kelce still gets a little starstruck.
The Kansas City Chiefs star, 36, excitedly commented on a clip from the Thursday, Oct. 16 episode of his sister-in-law Kylie Kelce’s podcast Not Gonna Lie, which featured Saturday Night Live alum Maya Rudolph.
Kylie, 33, chatted with Rudolph, 53, about how athletes make the best hosts for the long-running sketch comedy show.
Kylie, who married Travis’ brother Jason in 2018, told Rudolph she might be a little “biased” but said she thought her brother-in-law “did an outstanding job when he hosted” in March 2023.
“Outstanding! That’s exactly what I’m talking about,” Rudolph agreed about the Chiefs star’s episode.
Travis saw the clip and commented, “Holy s—, Maya saw my snl?! 😳🫣 what is life!!?! She’s a snl legend! Thanks Ky!!!”

Kylie suggested that athletes make great hosts for the show because a “locker room shapes you” as you’re spending so much time with so many people “from all walks of life,” to which Rudolph agreed.
Rudolph added that she knows Jason, 37, “loved” comedian Chris Farley growing up, and Kylie confirmed her husband was “obsessed,” as the Bridesmaids star explained why athletes make her “favorite, favorite hosts” of her former show.

After Travis hosted in 2023, he joked, “For a guy that can’t really read that well, it was kind of a f—– situation,” on an episode of the Bussin’ With The Boys podcast. “I felt like I was just trying to get through the reading instead of actually acting it out and giving it a voice and giving it a character and things like that. Like, I was just focused on, ‘Don’t f——- skip this line.'”
He described the process as a “fun roller coaster” and shared that he was “up to 2, 3 in the morning every day just trying to knock stuff out, do some of the prerecorded stuff.”
