Travis Decker Manhunt: Police “Closing In” on Dad Accused of Killing 3 Daughters
Authorities are sharing more updates as the search for Travis Decker continues.
The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office announced it believes the blood found on Travis’ truck—where the bodies of his and ex-wife Whitney Decker’s daughters Paityn, 9, Evelyn, 8, and Olivia, 5, were discovered near Rock Island Campground in Leavenworth, Wash., June 2—belongs to the missing 32-year-old, who is wanted on first-degree charges of murder and kidnapping.
“Detectives originally recovered some individual, personal items, from the scene they believed belong to Mr. Decker,” the police’s press release posted to Facebook read. “The lab took DNA samples from those items and found they matched the DNA in the blood samples recovered at the scene.”
“We know, positively, that all of the DNA samples recovered belong to the same, male, subject, who we believe is Mr. Decker,” it continued. “With this evidence, along with the other evidentiary items found at the scene, we do not have any reason to believe there are any other suspects.”
