It’s time to make another reservation at the Hazbin Hotel.

Prime Video’s hit adult animated musical series follows Charlie Morningstar (Erika Henningsen), princess of Hell, who opens a hotel for sinners trying to redeem themselves for another chance at Heaven.

Hazbin Hotel, created by Vivienne Medrano, started as a short released on YouTube in 2019. After the video rose in popularity and gained an online following, the short was eventually turned into a show, which debuted on Prime Video in 2024.

The first season consisted of eight episodes, and season 2 will have eight more, featuring returning voice cast members and new guest stars. Among them is Broadway performer Alex Newell and Fall Out Boy singer Patrick Stump, whose characters will appear alongside longtime favorite personalities like the Vees.

So when is Hazbin Hotel season 2 premiering? Here’s everything to know about when the new episodes will be released.

Will there be a Hazbin Hotel season 2?

Yes, Hazbin Hotel has been renewed for a second season. The animated series received a two-season order when it was initially announced in September 2023, per Deadline.

Less than a year later, Hazbin Hotel was renewed for seasons 3 and 4 in July 2024, per The Hollywood Reporter.

In addition, the spinoff, Helluva Boss, premiered on Prime Video in early September 2025. The first two seasons of Helluva Boss, which were previously available on YouTube, are now on Prime Video, along with a new bonus episode, “Mission: Zero.”

Prime Video has also ordered two additional seasons of Helluva Boss, per the streamer.

When does Hazbin Hotel season 2 premiere?

The first two episodes of Hazbin Hotel season 2 will be released on Oct. 29.

According to Prime Video, the sophomore season will have eight episodes, with two new episodes dropping each week through Nov. 19.

What will Hazbin Hotel season 2 be about?

Hazbin Hotel season 2 will focus on Charlie as she struggles to run her hotel, which is busier than ever following her war with Heaven, according to the official description.

Meanwhile, the trio of Overlords known as the Vees — a.k.a. Valentino, Velvet and Vox — “make a plan to take over Heaven placing themselves at the top.”

“We wanted it to go bigger,” creator Medrano told Collider in July 2024. “This season has a lot more action, some really cool, unique challenges, and some songs that are just such fun, diverse genres that are a little bit more visual.”

She added, “It feels so big and grand.”

Who is in the Hazbin Hotel season 2 cast?

Henningsen is returning to voice Charlie in Hazbin Hotel season 2.

The first season included the voices of Stephanie Beatriz, Alex Brightman, Keith David, Kimiko Glenn, Blake Roman and Amir Talai as the main cast. They were joined by other recurring and guest stars, including Christian Borle, Jeremy Jordan and Darren Criss, among others.

While not all the returning names have been confirmed for the upcoming season, more musical theater icons have been added for season 2.

According to Broadway World, Tony winner Alex Newell is joining the cast, as is Liz Callaway, Kevin Del Aguila and Andrew Durand.

Another name to keep an ear out for is Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump, who will be voicing Abel, the son of Adam.

“He’s the sweet son that Adam may or may not have been proud of,” Medrano explained to Collider in July 2025. “And because of that, I was like, ‘Well, I think it’s very fitting to go to someone in the classic rock world.’ ”

That same month, Prime Video released a video announcing Stump’s casting, and showing him in the recording booth.

Is there a trailer for Hazbin Hotel season 2?

A teaser trailer for Hazbin Hotel season 2 was released on Sept. 9.

The action-packed preview shows Vox (Christian Borle), one of the Overlords of Hell, preparing to battle Charlie and her hotel residents.

“War is coming. You’re either with me, or against me,” he says in the teaser. “So be ready for some breaking news.”

In July 2024, Medrano told Screen Rant, “We get more presence, I think, in Hell because what’s nice about season 2’s antagonist is that he’s a Hell character. That’s Vox.”

“So I think we get more of a focus on that world because he’s also an overlord,” she continued. “So I’m excited for that.”
