NEED TO KNOW
Tracker fans said “goodbye” to a couple of familiar faces in the season 3 premiere.
On Sunday, Oct. 19, viewers of the hit CBS drama may have been surprised to see the exit of two beloved cast members; however, the series made sure to tie up loose ends during the show.
In one scene, Reenie (Fiona Rene) referenced Velma (Abby McEnany) being missing in action in recent days, telling Randy (Chris Lee) she had “no idea” where Velma had been. She added that Velma “went to go see [her wife] Teddi [Robin Weigert]” in an attempt to “save her marriage.”

Velma then changed the subject, adding, “I have a whole bunch of resumes to review this week.”
Weigert, 56, left Tracker during season 1, and like Sunday’s episode, her absence was also explained within the show during a brief conversation in season 2.
But Velma’s leaving wasn’t the only season 3 shakeup — later in the episode, it was also revealed that Randy’s cousin Bobby (Eric Graise) had also exited the series.
For Graise, 35, his character’s exit came via text message.
“Thx. Miss u 2. Tell the gang I say hi,” a text from Bobby read.
Randy explained his cousin’s absence by saying, “He’s killing it. He quit his job officially at the repair shop, and now he is some encryption specialist at a new startup.”
He added, “Between the stock options and the salary, he is bringing home the bacon.”
Tracker stars Justin Hartley as Colter Shaw, a “rewardist” who uses his survival and tracking skills to help find missing people for whom someone is offering a financial reward.
While on his jobs, Colter often has close calls with law enforcement, leading Reenie, a lawyer, to swoop in and save the day.

The series, which is based on Jeffery Deaver’s novel The Never Game, was renewed for Season 3 in February.
“Thank you all for watching us. Because of the #trackerbackers we get to make more of these @trackercbs episodes. Here we go!!” Hartley, 48, captioned a Feb. 20 Instagram post announcing the good news.
Jensen Ackles also stars as Colter’s estranged brother Russell.

“Jensen is the perfect guy to play Russell. It’s such a well fleshed out character in the book and even more so with what we’ve done on the show,” Hartley told PEOPLE in October 2024, adding that his costar “just brings to it the next level.”
Tracker airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CBS with episodes streaming on Paramount+ the next day. All episodes of Tracker seasons 1 and 2 are available to stream on Paramount+.
