NEED TO KNOW
The Summer I Turned Pretty fans are concerned about more than just being on Team Conrad or Team Jeremiah.
Viewers pointed out an editing error during a scene between Isabel “Belly” Conklin (Lola Tung) and her fiancé Jeremiah Fisher (Gavin Casalegno) in the Aug. 13 episode of the hit Prime Video series. As the pair lay together on an air mattress with their clothing items sprawled about, her dress can be seen being slowly dragged off camera.
In a TikTok, a fan shared, “Wait…what? WHY IS THE DRESS CRAWLING AWAY” along the clip.
“Had to rewind and watch three times to make sure I wasn’t seeing things,” the viewer added to the caption.

Fans shared their hilarious reactions to the error in the comment section.
“Even the dress says ‘team Conrad,’” one viewer wrote, and another added, “Not the dress trying to get away from him.”
“It’s the ghost of Susannah trying to tell Belly she shouldn’t marry Jere,” another fan shared, referring to Jeremiah’s mother, who died of cancer between the show’s first and second seasons.
“All I can imagine is a cameraman’s foot stuck and they’re just nonchalantly trying to move away before they get on screen,” another wrote.

Fans also recently put the puzzle pieces together about the use of Taylor Swift’s “False God” on the teen drama series.
While Belly helped Conrad (Chris Briney) treat a cut on his leg, the exes nearly kissed even though Belly is engaged to Conrad’s brother Jeremiah.
The lyrics fit the moment perfectly as Belly appeared drawn to Conrad once again, as he has pined for her through the season. “We were stupid to jump in the ocean separating us, remember how I’d fly to you?” Swift sings.
Once Conrad left and Belly realized what she’s done, the song continued, “But we might just get away with it, religion’s in your lips, even if it’s a false god, we’d still worship…”
“What just happened? What did I almost do? This time wasn’t like with the peaches. This time, it was all me,” she admitted, referring to the steamy moment between her and Conrad in episode 5.

Fans recalled that “False God” was also played when Belly and Conrad got close and almost shared their first kiss. However, they were interrupted by Jeremiah launching a firework.
“False God is back in The Summer I Turned Pretty. We are so back. Belly let’s get you married to the correct Fisher brother,” one fan shared on X and another added, “FALSE GOD PLAYING FOR BELLYCONRAD AGAIN THANK YOU TAYLOR SWIFT AND JENNY HAN.”
“False God being so iconic it’s been played for bellyconrad twice on the show & taylor herself played it for lola & jenny at eras,” another fan recalled.
Several songs from Swift’s discography have appeared in the show, including “Back to December,” “Delicate,” “Hey Stephen” and “Cruel Summer.” However, “False God” is the only song to be featured twice.
