John Mellencamp Says Daughter Teddi Mellencamp Is “Really Sick” Amid Stage 4 Cancer Battle
Teddi Mellencamp is trying her best.
Nearly one year after the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum shared that she had been diagnosed with multiple brain tumors, her estranged husband Edwin Arroyave gave a glimpse into her cancer battle.
“I think one of the hardest things for her is she really can’t work out,” he explained on the Jan. 19 episode of iHeartRadio’s The Eds podcast. “She’s just starting to move her body. What’s been really tough for her is that she’s going through the immunotherapy, which that alone causes some side effects. That’s been really hard on her mental health.”
Edwin—who shares kids Slate, 13, Cruz, 11, and Dove, 5, with Teddi—also highlighted the positive aspects of her journey with brain cancer.
“The good news, though, is that those tumors are gone from what we can see,” he revealed. “The chances of that happening were .001 percent. So, that was totally a miracle from God.”
