Taylor Swift’s beloved dancer Kam Saunders has touching conversation with his mom in The End of an Era docuseries
The first two episodes of The End of an Era docuseries are now streaming on Disney+
Kameron Saunders had a touching conversation with his mom Kim Hamilton during The End of an Era docuseries.
During the second episode of the six-part docuseries, which premiered on Dec. 12, the dancer and choreographer, 33, has a sweet dialogue with his mom before she was attending one of his performances at the Eras Tour.
Saunders’ mom tells him how “excited” she is to see him perform again, as she discusses possibly using a wheelchair to help her with accessibility at the concert.
“You know, my knee is doing better, and I don’t really wanna be in the wheelchair. I need it a little bit [to get me there] but I wanna dance,” she tells him.
Hamilton then says she’d “feel like a hypocrite” if she was sitting in the wheelchair section of the show if she was “popping off” and dancing.

“I think they’ll come and take the wheelchair,” she says.
Saunders then questions her saying she’ll be “popping off.”
“And is that the move?” he asks his mom, to which she replies: “Something like that. Sometimes there’s a shimmy, sometimes it’s a roll. And, a lot of times it’s your guys’ choreography, too.”
Saunders then laughs as his mom flaunts the moves she uses to dance to Taylor Swift’s 2014 hit “Shake It Off” and her 2017 track “…Ready for It?”
“This experience has been really amazing…for me,” Hamilton says, as Saunders begins to tear up.
The St. Louis-born dancer and choreographer then tells his mom how he’s watched her make “so many sacrifices.”
“So many, for us to be able to do what we’re doing and to follow those dreams with every part of us. And I am grateful that you’re here to see it because [my brother] Khalen and I being able to do what we love to do in such grand spaces is a product of how you love us,” says Saunders.
He then tells Hamilton that he’s grateful she can see “the fruits of your labor in this way.”
“I will never not have you in these spaces with me and celebrating with me because just as hard as I’ve worked I’m very clear and very conscious of how hard you’ve worked for us to be able to do so, which is why I try my hardest to take so much care of you,” says Saunders, before the two of them embrace.
Saunders, who went viral for his moves and vibrant expressions on Swift’s tour, shared an emotional tribute on Instagram in December 2024 to mark the end of the nearly two-year-long tour.
“I have not stopped crying since Sunday,” he wrote at the time, describing his feelings at the end of the run. “And because of that simple fact, I’m not quite ready with the proper words to encapsulate this entire experience and the past 2 years of my life.”
He continued, “… BUT what I can and am ready to do is say thank you to my Boss Lady!”
He praised the “Elizabeth Taylor” performer and noted that he “would follow you anywhere at any time in any universe in EVERY lifetime. It has been the honor of my life to have been at your side night after night!”
Saunders, who shared a photo of the Grammy winner, 34, giving him a big hug on stage following a performance in the Midnights section of her tour, further opened up about his thoughts working with the singer for the string of shows.
The first two episodes of The End of an Era are available to stream now on Disney+, with one new episode being released per week.
