NEED TO KNOW
Taylor Swift is a forgiving friend!
During her appearance on the Wednesday, Oct. 8 episode of Late Night with Seth Meyers, the pop superstar, 35, recalled discovering her houseguest, Zoë Kravitz’s Burmese python, had become lost in her Beverly Hills home.
Kravitz originally told the story while appearing on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Aug. 12, with Kravitz, 36, revealing that Swift kindly offered her and her mom, Lisa Bonet, a place to stay during the Los Angeles fires. Recalling how her mom’s pet snake slithered into a “little hole” in Swift’s bathroom, Kravitz shared that she and Bonet had to “rip up the tile, scratching the walls,” to recover the snake. “We completely destroyed Taylor’s bathroom,” she admitted.
However, during her own interview with Meyers to promote her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, Swift said she “can’t even be mad” about the mishap as she explained her side of the story.

“We’ve all got that one friend,” the “Fate of Ophelia” star quipped to Meyers, adding, “I just remember getting a call from my head of security and him trying to explain this story to me.” She said that her first question was “what snake?” revealing that she hadn’t known about her reptile houseguest.
“I kind of found myself listening to this,” the pop star said. “And I’m like, ‘Uh-huh, OK, OK.’ And I hate to first-and-last name a friend, but it’s important in this situation. OK, so Zoe Kravitz and Lisa Bonet are holding on to a Burmese python. It’s halfway in the wall. There’s a man standing with an ax, who has just chopped up a custom vintage antique cupboard.”
Swift continued, telling Meyers, “There’s splinters on the floor. They’re looking — in my mind, this is an Annie Leibovitz shoot. … This is the chicest thing I’ve ever heard in my life…not a problem.”
“It just sounds incredible. I’m sad I didn’t see it,” she concluded, adding, “I can’t even be mad.”

Swift also revealed that she played a “little game” in her head to see how long it would take Kravitz to confess to her, sharing that it was “three weeks, exactly the amount of time it took to fix the damaged cupboard,” until the friends spoke about the incident.
But Swift revealed to Meyers that she told her pal not to sweat it, telling Kravitz, “Dude, I’ve been laughing about this for three weeks.”
Meyers, 51, announced Swift’s appearance on Late Night last week with a video of himself sporting an orange cardigan from the “Wood” singer’s merchandise store while sipping from a light blue mug.
“Sipping coffee like you’re on a late night show,” read the post’s caption, referencing the lyrics of Swift’s “All Too Well (10 Minute Version).”
The Grammy winner previously appeared on Meyers’ show in 2014 and 2021.
Swift released The Life of a Showgirl at midnight on Friday, Oct. 3. “I can’t tell you how proud I am to share this with you, an album that just feels so right,” wrote Swift on Instagram upon releasing the project, created alongside producers Max Martin and Shellback.
“A forever thank you goes out to my mentors and friends Max and Shellback for helping me paint this self-portrait,” she continued. “If you thought the big show was wild, perhaps you should come and take a look behind the curtain…”
