Swift, 35, announced her upcoming 12th studio album – The Life of a Showgirl — with the help of boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce on their New Heights podcast.
She also shared an Instagram post formally announcing the LP — which is produced by Swift, Max Martin and Shellback — on Aug. 13.
“And, baby, that’s show business for you. New album The Life of a Showgirl. Out October 3,” she captioned the post.
The “Fortnight” musician also released the track list, which revealed that Sabrina Carpenter will be featured on the title track. The other songs include “Elizabeth Taylor,” “Ruin the Friendship,” “Honey,” “Actually Romantic,” “CANCELLED!”, “Eldest Daughter”, “Father Figure”, “Opalite” and “The Fate of Ophelia.”
Prior to Swift’s appearance on the New Heights podcast, she shared a countdown to her website on Aug. 11, that featured an orange backdrop, with a clock in mint green lettering, and expired at 12:12 a.m. E.T.
Alongside the countdown was a confirmation that she would be the featured guest on New Heights.
In a podcast clip, shared to X, Swift, seated next to Travis, noted how much she admired the color of his blue sweatshirt.
“That’s such a nice color on you,” the “Down Bad” artist said, to which he replied, “Yes, I know. It’s the color of your eyes, sweetie. It’s why we match so well.”
Swift then said, “We’re about to do a f—ing podcast!”
Ahead of the podcast episode, New Heights teased a cryptic image featuring Swift’s silhouette between a screenshot of the brothers. The same orange and mint green matching thecountdown on Swift’s website were also used.
The Life of a Showgirl comes a few months after Swift re-acquired the masters from her first six albums: Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989 and Reputation, from Shamrock Capital in May.
The Life of a Showgirl is due Oct. 3.
