Sophie Turner is reflecting on a difficult time in her life.
The Game of Thrones alum, 29, seemingly alluded to her divorce from Joe Jonas during her appearance on the Aug. 14 episode of Late Night with Seth Meyers while opening up about what was going on in her life as she was filming her new movie, Trust.
“I’m not sure if anyone’s aware, but when I started shooting this movie, I was going through, like, a media hell,” Turner told host Seth Meyers.
“So this was super cathartic because I wanted to run away in my real life when that was all happening,” she continued. “But I got to do it in a movie and I got to smash some s— up, so that was fun.”

Turner filmed Trust in 2024 while she and Jonas were going through their high-profile divorce.
Jonas, 36, filed for divorce from Turner in September 2023 after four years of marriage, claiming in court documents that “the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken.”
Shortly after, the former couple issued a joint statement on social media, noting that they had “mutually decided” to “amicably end” their marriage, and that the divorce was a “united decision.”
Turner and Jonas reached a settlement agreement in September 2024 and, while the terms are confidential, court documents state that the agreement is “in the best interests of the parties and this family.”

In July 2025, a source told PEOPLE exclusively that the former pair had hit a “peaceful groove” as long-distance co-parents.
The source said Turner and Jonas had “gotten into a co-parenting rhythm that really works” regarding their daughters, Willa, 5, and Delphine, 3.
“There’s a mutual respect now, and the girls are their priority,” the source added.
As for the exes’ relationship with each other, the source noted that “they’ve maintained an amicable relationship from two continents, which isn’t easy, but they’ve managed to pull it off.”
According to the source, “Things between them are better than it’s ever been since their split.”

Turner’s new film, Trust, is a thriller that sees her starring alongside real rats and cockroaches.
“After a scandal, a Hollywood starlet (Turner) retreats to a remote cabin — but she’s not alone,” the film’s synopsis reads. “Betrayed by the man she trusted most, she’s trapped in a brutal game of survival. She can hide, but she can’t run.”
Turner reflected on filming alongside real pests while appearing on Late Night with Seth Meyers, admitting, “Honestly, it was foul.”
“We had rats and cockroaches on the same day,” she said. “Worst day of my career.”
