Carolina Rodriguez has found a new home on Team Snoop.
As the Battles continued on The Voice on Monday, Oct. 20, Team Niall contestants Rodriguez and Kirbi performed Lauren Daigle’s “You Say” in hopes of remaining in the competition. Unfortunately, the former One Direction singer could only choose one.
After the performance, each coach offered up some sound feedback.
“Way to go ladies. It was just so angelic,” coach Reba McEntire said. “Carolina, you’ve got a wonderful voice… Kirbi, there’s a totally different sound to your voice that is sweet, pure and totally believable.”
Meanwhile, coach Michael Bublé complimented Horan’s song choice and said he loved that he gave the singers “the opportunity to sing a tough song.”

“Kirbi, you were a four-chair turn. There’s no doubt that you have a tremendous talent,” the Canadian crooner continued. “You have a beautiful presence on stage. Carolina, I don’t know why I didn’t turn. Was I dumb? Yes.”
Coach Snoop Dogg praised Kirbi for being “strong, beautiful, engaging” and demonstrating “great showmanship.”
“Carolina Rodriguez. Girl, I turned my chair for you. And you chose Niall. And I see why you chose him because he gave you a great record to highlight what you are capable of doing,” the rapper, 53, continued. “So I’m not mad at that but I do know that he can’t pick both of y’all.”
Snoop concluded by teasing he had “something in my back pocket called a steal.”
Before making his final decision, Horan , 32, told the contestants that the performance was “beautiful” and “emotional.”
“Kirbi, that rasp is just so beautiful at the top of your register that not many people have. As Snoop said, you look like a veteran up there, controlling the stage and controlling what’s coming out of your instrument,” he said.
The “This Town” singer continued, “Carolina, the way that you started that song in a nervous tense room, to sing that low in your register… it was so impressive.”
Then, Horan declared that the winner of the battle, “by the finest of margins,” was Kirbi.
“This is where I wish I had two saves. I was really struggling,” he said. “Kirbi just gave me that level of emotion that I really wanted from the song. She’s one of the greater storytellers in the competition. That’s what it came down to.”

Once host Carson Daly said Rodriguez was available for a steal, Snoop hit his button and Horan immediately walked over to hug the rapper.
“The gangster holy ghost has spoken,” said Horan. “I’m so happy that Snoop used his one and only steal on my Carolina Rodriguez. I did not want her to leave this competition.”
Snoop added, “The thing I loved about Carolina the most was her growth from hearing her in the Blinds to now. She sounded 20 times different. It took a few tries but a perfect artist found their way home to team Snoop. Carolina, welcome home.”
The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. All episodes are available to stream the following day on Peacock.
