Seth Meyers shared some wedding-planning advice with Taylor Swift ahead of her upcoming nuptials to Travis Kelce.
Fresh off the release of her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, the 35-year-old pop titan stopped by Late Night with Seth Meyers on Wednesday, Oct. 9, amid her ongoing press tour.
However, she noted that her schedule was opening up again after a week of multiple appearances, allowing her focus to shift to accommodate more wedding planning. Meyers, who married his wife Alexi Ashe in 2013, had some words of wisdom to share on the topic.

Meyers started the conversation by congratulating the “Opalite” singer on her engagement to the 36-year-old NFL star. They announced the happy news on Aug. 26 and have since shared some insight into the proposal.
“With everything else going on, I haven’t even had a chance to congratulate you on your engagement,” Meyers said, adding, “There are two things I’m worried about on your behalf.
His comment prompted Swift to ask, “Only two?”
“I think you’ve got everything else under control,” the 51-year-old late-night host assured her. “I’m worried about the invitations. Just the invitations alone, because I feel like everybody, you know, has an expectation that you’re going to put a lot of thought into it. And I feel like… I just give you permission to send an E-vite.”
He continued, urging her, “Just use one of the many online things available.”
“I haven’t even thought about this yet,” Swift admitted. “I’m glad you’re bringing this up ’cause it’s the first time I’ve thought about it.”
Meyers jokingly replied that he “didn’t mean to put this burden” on her; however, the Grammy winner was open to the advice, saying, “We’re towards the tail end of the release week, and it’s like, it’s about time that I start thinking about this.”
On the topic of invitations, Meyers had one other recommendation if she were to send physical invites: “I do also give you permission — and you can say it’s my idea so nobody says, you know, you were being cocky or arrogant or anything — I think you can… I think you should send the invitations in a frame. ‘Cause I think people will [frame] it anyway.”
“That’s a very nice thing to say,” Swift replied before running some ideas by the host. “There’s a lot of different things you could do, right? We could get some production value or, like, get really tricksy with it where like, they read it and as soon as it senses fingerprints, three minutes later it dissolves into dust.”
Meyers replied, “It could be no words, just a series of numbers. And people are like, ‘Uh-oh. We’ve got to figure this out.’ ”

Swift was down for the idea, saying, “That’s what we do! If you can figure out what any of this is… Like you’re having to do, like, trigonometry to figure out, like, what date it is.”
“And then there’s just going to be, like, two of your friends are in Indianapolis one day being like, ‘I think we got it wrong. I don’t think it’s gonna be here,’ ” Meyers joked with Swift, adding, “They’re like, ‘Carry the 3,’ ” as though she was solving a complex equation.
Although the superstar hasn’t begun thinking about what her invitations will look like, she already said that one person would “obviously” be invited to celebrate her big day with her.
An exclusive source also recently told PEOPLE that Swift is ready to start the planning process.

“She’s been super focused on work commitments. She’s not kidding when she says she’s exhausted. She’s ready for a break so she can focus on the wedding,” the insider explained, adding, “She’s very excited about planning the wedding.”
The couple has faced questions from multiple angles about their engagement. Travis’ brother, Jason Kelce, recently asked him when the wedding would take place during an interview for Monday Night Countdown.
“Get this guy out of here,” Travis joked to his teammate Patrick Mahomes after Jason described his question as being “what everyone wants to know.”
Meanwhile, Ryan Seacrest volunteered to officiate the big day.
