Selena Gomez is back with another pop banger.
On Thursday, Oct. 23, the singer and actress released a music video for her new track “In the Dark,” which is featured on Nobody Wants This Season 2: The Soundtrack.
In the music video, directed by Luke Orlando, Gomez, 33, appears in various open spaces wearing an all-black ensembles as she sings about unconditional love.
“And I’ll be there when you lose yourself / To remind you of who you are / And I’ll be there like nobody else / You’re still beautiful in the dark,” she sings.

Following its release, Gomez posted a snippet on her Instagram and captioned the post: “‘In The Dark’ is out now. This is just a little nostalgia droplet and I hope you love it. 🖤”
On her Instagram Stories, Gomez posted a series of screenshots from the music video — and pointed out that she “thought it would be fun to add a little Revival to it,” referencing her 2015 album of the same name.
The new track follows the release of Gomez’s collaborative album I Said I Loved You First with now-husband Benny Blanco. According to a press release ahead of the album’s drop in March, it promised to give fans “a unique window into their relationship.”
“This album came together organically as a direct result of the comfort that they both felt when working together creatively, allowing them to produce art that authentically reflects their experiences,” said the press release.
It added: “It chronicles their entire story—before they met, falling in love and looking to what the future holds.”

Meanwhile, Nobody Wants This Season 2: The Soundtrack features 19 songs from stars like Chris Stapleton, Role Model, Kacey Musgraves and more.
The album was released in tandem with the season premiere, which follows the unconventional romance of Joanne (a podcaster played by Kristen Bell) and Noah (a rabbi played by Adam Brody).
