With her wedding on the horizon, Selena Gomez is feeling a rare kind of luck!
The 33-year-old singer-actress — who is engaged to music producer Benny Blanco — shared a sweet update on wedding planning while appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon with her Only Murders in the Building costars on Tuesday, Sept. 9.
After host Fallon, 50, inquired about the impending nuptials — specifically asking Gomez if she’s “having fun” amid the process — the star replied, “It’s wonderful. I’m very lucky.”
“It’s going well. I’m so excited,” added the actress, who was seated next to her Only Murders costars, Martin Short and Steve Martin.
“I’m sure our invites will arrive any day now,” Martin, 80, then joked, as Fallon questioned whether the actor-comedians will be in attendance for the stars’ nuptials.

Gomez’s response? “Of course they are — Marty’s the ring bearer.”
Short, 75, then jokingly acted out how he would present the ring on his costar’s special day by getting on one knee and raising a hand in the air. “Here’s your ring, Selena,” he said, imitating Lord of the Rings character Golem. “Take it.”
“We are all so excited because we love this lady,” said Short, before sliding in one more joke amid the wedding discussion. “And we love her fiancé, Bad Bunny,” the comedian continued, as a jokingly exasperated Gomez corrected him: “Benny Blanco!”
Jokes aside, the Only Murders stars’ Tonight Show appearance comes after Short gushed abut Gomez’s upcoming wedding on the Good Hang with Amy Poehler podcast.
“I just adore her,” he said the the Sept. 9 episode. “I’m so happy that she’s getting married to this fabulous guy, Benny Blanco, who’s just one of the great, cool guys and funny and loose, and she adores him.”
“I’m just thrilled for her happiness,” Short added, “and I’m thrilled to get to work with her.”
Gomez and Blanco, 37, have not revealed when they plan to tie the knot, though the date is seemingly set. (The couple celebrated their bachelorette and bachelor parties in August, and both Ed Sheeran and Paris Hilton have revealed that they’ve already been invited to the big day.)

The couple first announced their engagement in December 2024, after more than a year of dating. Blanco later revealed that he popped the question with a ring that the singer helped design herself — and that features a marquise diamond in a nod to her song “Good For You.”
The pop star recently gave another wedding planning update on Therapuss with Jake Shane, stating that she and Blanco were busy with their “own personal endeavors,” but intended to dive into “all the nitty-gritty” when their schedules opened up.
Plus, Gomez said in the Aug. 6 episode, she “couldn’t be more excited” to marry her fiancé: “I’m really, I just have never really felt so sure about something.”
