Carly Rae Jepsen had a wedding to remember!
The singer, 39, married music producer Cole M.G.N. (whose real name is Cole Marsden Greif-Neill) on Saturday, Oct. 4, at the Chelsea Hotel in New York City. Photos of the “romantic” nuptials show the couple sharing a kiss and embracing on a balcony. Another captures Carly posing in a chair while wearing her wedding dress and holding a colorful bouquet of flowers.
Carly told Vogue that she and Cole — who were joined by around 100 guests for their intimate ceremony — chose the storied Manhattan hotel as their venue due to its rich “history and lore.” A number of famous musicians, writers and artists, including Mark Twain, Jimi Hendrix, Leonard Cohen, Patti Smith, Arthur Miller and Madonna, once lived there, per the outlet.
“We knew we wanted a location that meant something to us, and the Chelsea Hotel had become a home away from home every time we were in New York. As artists, its iconic history and lore made it that much more appealing,” Carly said, noting that the couple had “weekly dates” to discuss details while planning their big day together.
“This way, it was only ever fun and not too much at once,” she explained.

Carly wore two dresses for the occasion — the first one by Australian designer Toni Maticevski.
As for her second look, the “Call Me Maybe” singer revealed to Vogue that she and Cole, 40, “were trying to get pregnant,” so she wanted “an alternative dress that was much more flowy that I could sub in for the ceremony or just change into for dancing.”
She ended up finding her second dress at Danielle Frankel, and paired it with pearl earrings made by her mother, Alexandra Lanzarotta. Cole, meanwhile, sported a cream suit from Husbands in Paris and Gucci shoes.

The couple’s ceremony was officiated by the bride’s aunt and uncle.
“Being present and at ease was key for both of us,” Carly said of their choice to keep the guest list on the smaller side. “We wanted it to feel romantic and full of emotion. Our family talked about how we met, and we wrote personal vows to each other that we read aloud.”
Carly told Vogue that although they were both “expecting” to cry, they managed to hold it together through the emotional proceedings.
“But the energy was just light and joyful,” Carly noted. “Between the bright baby blue of the background, the wildflowers that surrounded us, and the intimate lighting, walking down the aisle felt like a fever dream. Nothing will top the moment when we first locked eyes, and to be honest, for the first half of the ceremony, we couldn’t see anyone else.”

Carly said that immediately after the ceremony, she and her new husband stole away for a little private moment together. They stepped out into the street, stood in front of a storefront and “giggled and kissed and just tried to take it in before the cocktail party began,” she recalled.
According to Vogue, the wedding featured two special performances. Carly’s childhood friend Molly Ringwald sang with her jazz trio during the cocktail hour, which the bride said was “a highlight of the night.” Then, after dinner and lots of toasts, Rufus Wainwright performed a surprise a capella rendition of — fittingly — Leonard Cohen’s “Chelsea Hotel #2.”
Reflecting on her wedding day, Carly told Vogue that it “was better than either one of our wildest dreams.”

“We felt connected through the whole thing, which was really important to us,” she said. “In fact, we even had a few special songs planted in the DJ’s setlist so that, no matter where we were at the moment, when we heard those songs, we would come find each other.”
Carly and Cole first met during a songwriting session in May 2021. Their working relationship eventually turned romantic, and they began dating the following year.
