Scott Disick Says Son Mason, 15, Told Him He ‘Can’t Actually’ Move to New York

Scott Disick isn’t moving to New York — and his son Mason had something to do with his decision.

During this week’s episode of The Kardashians, Disick, 42, and Khloé Kardashian readdress his comments from a previous episode about moving to New York. The dad of three shares that he was tabling the move for now after his son Mason, 15, told him he can’t actually leave.

As they’re talking about how Disick is building onto his house, Kardashian asks him if he’s actually still moving to New York.

“So, no. So I’ve decided I can’t really move to New York with my kids and everything,” Disick answers.

“First of all, no one was gonna let you move across country,” Kardashian responds, to which Disick quips, “I know one person that would.”

“Ok, but besides her,” says Kardashian of her sister Kourtney Kardashian Barker. “I get that, but it’s very extreme. It was shocking.” 

“I talked to Mace, and he’s like, ‘You can’t actually move.’ And them coming every long weekend…” Disick shares.

He goes on to say that he did end up selling his boat, though, and was making preparations for his cross-country move before his son told him his opinion.

“No, but I was like getting prepared! But I’ve realized, there’s no way I could actually do both,” Disick says.

“Yeah, that’s ridiculous,” Kardashian says. “I am now just gonna get something that will fit us in New York,” responds Disick.

Kardashian then says that she’s sure a woman played a role in Disick’s eagerness to move to the Big Apple.

“No, there is a girl that I do see when I’m in New York that I don’t have here. So maybe that also plays a little bit of a part,” Disick admits. “Yeah, of course. I get that,” Kardashian says. 

Disick shares sons Mason and Reign, 10, as well as daughter Penelope, 12, with ex Kourtney Kardashian.

On a previous episode of The Kardashians, Disick told Kardashian that he was thinking about leaving Los Angeles after all the fires in January.

“I have something I want to throw past ya, and you can tell me what you think,” Disick began. “So, I’ve been thinking about it for a minute. And you know, the fires were kinda crazy and everything. I feel like California’s been pretty crazy. I think I might move back to New York.” 

“Shut up,” Kardashian said and dropped her jaw. “But you can’t.” 

Disick went on to explain that he doesn’t have much of a social life in Hidden Hills — the gated community where the family lives — and said he doesn’t have much of a reason to stay.

“What about Mason?” Kardashian asked. “He’d probably move with me,” Disick said. “That’s insanity,” replied Kardashian. 

“Yeah, and then I would fly the kids out,” the dad of three said at the time.
