Taylor Swift’s friends are sharing their sweet reactions to the news that she’s engaged to Travis Kelce!
When the 14-time Grammy winner announced her engagement on Tuesday, Aug. 26, Sabrina Carpenter congratulated the 14-time Grammy winner on Instagram Stories, sharing a series of white heart emojis alongside one of the couple’s loved-up photos from the announcement.

Close pal Selena Gomez chimed in on Wednesday, Aug. 27, resharing Swift’s photos and captioning them, “When bestie gets engaged 🥰.”
The actress and singer also reshared some love advice Swift had Tweeted her in April 2009, which read, “Real love still happens sometimes. It’s not just something we make up when we’re nine. I have to believe that. You do too.”

Swift’s best friend from high school Abigail Anderson also shared her excitement about Swift’s engagement news.

Per fan-captured TikTok footage, Gracie Abrams gave Swift a shoutout during her concert in Mexico City on Aug. 26.
“I feel like we should be saying a big congratulations to Taylor, who’s not here, but everybody, just congratulations to her,” she told the crowd. “I feel like she’s here with us tonight because of this song.” Abrams, 25, then asked fans to Swift’s part on their Grammy-nominated duet “Us.”
Cara Delevingne shared her love for Swift on Instagram Stories, resharing the happy couple’s celebratory Instagram post and tagging them with several fiery hearts.
Avril Lavigne, who performed with Swift during her 1989 tour, shared her excitement for the superstar on Instagram Stories. “Awww huge congratulations to @taylorswift & @killatrav 💍💍💍 💖💖💖,” she wrote.
Todrick Hall, who made an appearance as a backup dancer in Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do” music video and co-executive-produced the visual for “You Need to Calm Down” congratulated the “loml” artist on Instagram Stories and in a feed post.

Hall also shared a static post with photos from their past friendship, writing, “Aghghgghghhh! Our girl is getting MARRIED! Congrats @taylorswift! I remember having one of my many ‘therapy sessions’ with Taylor about wanting to fall in love and how I didn’t think there were very many guys that would be compatible with me. Meanwhile, Brittany Mahomes reacted to the news with a post on Instagram Stories.
“Two of the most genuine people meet & fall in love. Just so happy for these two,” she wrote, adding a white heart and a crying-happy face emojis.
On Tuesday, Aug. 26, Swift and Kelce, both 35, announced their engagement in a joint post on Instagram alongside several photos from enchanting garden proposal.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨,” the “Fortnight” singer wrote in the caption.
The Kansas City tight end proposed with a ring he designed with Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry. The dazzling stone is an “old mine brilliant cut,” which Swift flaunted in a series of images announcing the big news.
Last month, Kelce previously shared a sweet Instagram post that offered a glimpse at special moments in their relationship .
“Had some adventures this offseason, kept it 💯,” he captioned the post on July 24.
Kelce shared several photos of the couple in coordinating looks and enjoying off-season together with pals. In one snap, the couple sported matching black looks, and eagle-eyed fans noticed a subtle reveal on Kelce’s phone screen in the corner of the photo, which showed him and Swift as each other’s lock screens.
Another image featured Swift humorously trying on Kelce’s thick-framed black glasses for size, as he grinned while sitting next to her. In one photo, they even sported coordinating baseball caps, with Kelce’s reading “captain” and Swift’s reading “first mate.”
