NEED TO KNOW
Rihanna is one fashion-forward mom.
The superstar, 37, attended the 2025 CFDA Awards on Monday night, marking her first red carpet since she and her partner A$AP Rocky — who was being honored at the fashion ceremony — welcomed their first daughter together in September.
When speaking about her outfit to reporters upon her arrival, Rihanna — who had her third child, daughter Rocki Irish, with the 37-year-old rapper on Sept. 13 — described her getup as a “postpartum-forward look.”
It’s “timeless” and “effortless,” Rihanna added of her Alaïa ensemble (from the spring/summer 2026 collection), which featured a floor-length black trench coat that she tied at the waste with a black turtleneck that peeked out the top. She paired it with draped, white pants that she tucked into her heels.

Prior to entering the ceremony, which was held at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, the mom of three joined Rocky on the red carpet. The pair cozied up to each other as they posed for cute photos together.
For Rocky’s part, the “Fashion Killa” rapper kept it classic in a Chanel suit, featuring a jacket with bold white cuffs that rolled up on each side. He layered it over a butter yellow, V-neck sweater and coordinating, cream-colored Chanel shoes with black tips. He also piled on the Briony Raymond jewelry including a diamond drop earrings, a vintage diamond ring, a vintage French gold collar from the 1960s, an opal and diamond brooch from the 1940s and a Briony Raymond vintage diamond cuff.
The couple, who recently sparked marriage rumors after Rocky called himself a “loving husband” in an October interview with The Perfect Magazine, showed out in coordinating looks.
This year, the Council of Fashion Designers of America is honoring the rapper and Highest 2 Lowest actor with the Fashion Icon award, an accolade previously given to Rihanna in 2014, a moment that also marked one of her most iconic look to date: an Adam Selman-designed gown covered in more than 216,000 Swarovski crystals.

As written on the CFDA’s website, Rocky will be honored for his continued impact on fashion, from his partnerships with Puma and Ray-Ban (he was named the eyewear brand’s first creative director three days after his felony assault acquittal in February) to his work through creative agency AWGE, which made its debut during Paris Fashion Week in 2024. The CFDA also recognized the Grammy nominee’s involvement in the Met Gala, following his position as a co-chair for this year’s event, which celebrated the arrival of the “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” exhibit.
Since becoming a dad, Rocky — who also shares sons RZA, 3, and Riot, 2, with Rihanna — has opened up about how fatherhood has influenced his style.
“If I could define my dad style, I would say it’s way more focused,” he told PEOPLE at the Footwear News Achievement Awards in 2024, where he and Puma received the Collaboration of the Year award. “Prior to that, it was more absurd outfits and just mixing and matching everything just for the sake of it. Now it’s a bit more quiet luxury,” he added of his style evolution.

He even plans on saving his clothes for his little ones, revealing that his mini-mes “won’t have to really try to figure it out too hard” and that his archives are “going to be there for them.”
