Priscilla Block and her boyfriend Elijah Phillips have made their red carpet debut!
On Wednesday, Nov. 19, the 30-year-old “You, Me, and Whiskey” singer arrived at the CMA Awards 2025 with a special someone on her arm — her boyfriend Elijah Phillips — who happens to serve as the inspiration for one of her latest songs of the same name.
“I really wanted to go super classy this year. I got my man with me for the first time on the carpet, there’s a lot going on,” Block told PEOPLE exclusively of her date night look.
The country singer wore a brown strapless gown with a corset bodice at the top, with draped material that started at her waist and flowed to the floor.

Elijah then joined her for the interview in a black suit with a matching black button-down shirt paired with a cowboy hat. A brown handkerchief tucked in his jacket pocket matched Block’s dress.
“It’s our first time on the carpet together, so we’re super excited. We just wanted to come super classy,” she told PEOPLE.
The singer-songwriter said since releasing Things You Didn’t See, “the response from this album has just been incredibly positive.”
“I put my heart and soul into the record, and people have really raised their hand for it. I showed the love in my life on this record,” Block told PEOPLE, smiling as she pointed to Elijah. “So we’re doing the full thing. It’s kind of crazy.”

“This is like our first time ever doing anything publicly together,” the singer said, as her date added, “This is like prom night!”
Block told PEOPLE that before they hit the red carpet, her significant other started the evening off with a pair of thoughtful gestures.
“He wrote me a letter today and gave me a rose that lasts forever and he was like, ‘This is really special, thanks for having me,’ ” she said.

In the “Elijah” music video, which was shared to Block’s YouTube channel in October, the couple star as themselves as she tells their love story.
“We were two kids growing up / you were 23, I was 21,” she sings as the camera shows a man walking in denim jeans and cowboy boots.
As she sings, the camera pans up to show that he’s carrying a bouquet of flowers, but his face has still not been revealed.
After noting that their relationship “burned out” because “that’s how fire works,” Block explains that the young couple who were so in love ultimately broke up before finding their way back together again.
“Now two years later / I never thought I’d get to tell you / I’d do it all again / take the long way around to find ‘ya / I’d pour the shots back in the glass / put my lonely heart in the lonely bars / Yeah, I wouldn’t take the long nights back / I’d pull all the reds out of the pack / smoke ‘em again / you should know that / I’d do it all again / take the long way around to find ‘ya / Elijah,” she sings.

As the song plays, he eventually makes his way to her home, where she meets him at her front door, accepting his flowers. The two then sweetly dance together on her front porch.
Block spoke with PEOPLE backstage following her set at Windy City Smokeout in Chicago in July 2024, where she opened up about her music and her love life.
“There’s definitely a guy for sure,” Block told PEOPLE. “I’m very happy. I probably overshare honestly, but right now I’m just so happy and my relationship has been something that just feels like home and it’s something that I protect. One day, we’ll put it all out there, but right now I am just enjoying this moment that we have that’s nobody else’s right now.”
The 59th Annual CMA Awards broadcast live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, Nov. 19 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. on ABC. The show streams the following day on Hulu.
