Prince William was in full dad mode during a royal outing earlier this summer.
The Prince of Wales, 43, traveled to Wadebridge, Cornwall, on June 6 for The Royal Cornwall Show, attending the event with his aunt, Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, 60.
During the royal outing, Prince William met a 7-month-old baby named George, with an attendee capturing the sweet exchange on camera, per a clip shared by George’s mother on Instagram on Aug. 7. In the days since, the video has been viewed 1.4 million times.
“Hello! Nice to meet you,” George’s mom, Anna Rebecca, told William in the clip, before the Prince of Wales tickled the baby’s front and commented on his outfit.

“I love your top,” William told the baby, who shares a name with his and Kate Middleton’s eldest son, Prince George, 12. The couple is also parents to daughter Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7.
The royal questioned how old the baby was, as well as saying, “He’s so sweet,” telling the infant, “You’re very smiley.”
“He’s sleeping well?” Prince William then asked, as George’s mom admitted, “Now he is!”
“You enjoy your tractors, mister,” William said before waving to the mother and son and heading off.
Remembering the special moment on Instagram, Anna Rebecca captioned the post, “When George met Prince William at Royal Cornwall show 🤎 I can’t believe I forgot to share this on here at the time.”
“He was absolutely lovely with George & took so much time to chat with us. We were so lucky 🫶🏼 6/06/25,” she added.
Anna Rebecca also shared a video of the moment Sophie met George, with the baby grinning as the royal played with him and commented on his outfit.
“George meets the Duchess of Edinburgh 🤎I’ve had lots of messages to ask if we met the Duchess of Edinburgh, too. She was so lovely & made a real fuss of George. 6/06/25 🫶🏼🤎,” she captioned the video taken at the event, which dates back to 1793 and pulls in about 120,000 visitors every year. Both William and Sophie are patrons of the Royal Cornwall Agricultural Association, whose annual bash features livestock competitions, food and drinks.

Prince William and his wife, Princess Kate, are both pros at interacting with kids during official outings.
In January, Kate shocked royal watchers by stopping her convoy after a day out to greet a little girl who had been calling out, “Hello, princess!” to catch her attention.
In a highly unusual move, Kate ran to shake the little girl’s hand and spent a few minutes chatting with her. “I heard you say, ‘Hello,’ from all the way back there, and I wanted to come and see you,” the BBC reported that Princess Kate said.

That same month, Prince William responded to a young boy who asked if he was “the King.”
“Hello, are you the King?” a boy named Mohammed asked William in a video shared by St. Nicholas Catholic Academy from the prince’s visit to the Toxeth area of Liverpool. “No, I’m not, no. I’m his son,” Prince William politely said in reference to his father, King Charles.
William then pivoted to asking Mohammed questions about himself and how his school day went. “What’s your name? Mohammed. How are you, Mohammed? Nice to see you. Did you have a good day at school?” he diplomatically asked.
