Paul Walter Hauser is a father of three!
The Black Bird star, 38, welcomed his third baby, daughter Isla Grace Hauser, with wife Amy Boland Hauser on Sunday, July 20, announcing the exciting news in a joint Instagram post. Their new bundle of joy entered the world at 2:43 a.m., weighing 8 lbs., 3 oz., and measuring 20 in. long.
“She arrived 6 years and 1 day after our first date — a sweet, full-circle reminder of God’s perfect timing. 💕,” the newly minted mom of three shared in her caption, before going on to explain her daughter’s name.
“Isla, a name of calm and peace — a tranquil isle where worries cease. Her name whispers of gentle waves, depth and a soothing light, a haven bright and serene, wild as the sea. A soft heart, a kind soul — an island of joy, a soul to fill,” she wrote. “Grace, a name so soft, so kind — a heart of goodness and a giving mind. A quiet strength, a calming way, she is a beacon of hope, a gentle embrace. The very picture of God’s unmerited favor and love.”
She continued by quoting a Bible verse, before concluding her caption by saying, “We’re completely in awe of this little girl and so grateful the Lord chose us to be her parents. Welcome to the world, Isla Grace. You are already so deeply loved. 🤍.”

In a joint post on Instagram on Tuesday, Jan. 28, the couple first announced that they were expecting another baby with a picture of a sonogram sitting atop a cream-colored onesie with the words “grand finale” in rainbow letters printed on the front.
Along with the announcement picture, the couple shared photos of their sons Jonah, 2, and Harris, 3, donning similar shirts, this time printed with the phrases “the original” and “the sequel,” respectively.
“We’re excited to share that the Hauser Family ‘Grand Finale’ will arrive late summer 2025!” the couple wrote. “Thank you, Jesus! For this child we have prayed. – 1 Samuel 1:27.”
While Hauser stars in many big films, his most meaningful role is being a father. Hauser intends to be “around for a long time for my kids and my wife,” he told PEOPLE in an exclusive interview in May 2024.
Maintaining a healthy weight and lifestyle is “incredibly important to me,” he said, adding that in the past “it’s also been very elusive, very hard for me.”

The Hausers revealed that they were expecting their first girl with a joint post on Instagram in May.
Involving their two sons in the announcement, the then-family of four posed on their steps surrounded by pink balloons to match their outfits. The boys had matching shirts that read “Security. Little Sister Protection Squad” on them, while the actor wore a Hawaiian shirt with hints of pink in it. Amy sat in the center of her boys wearing a pink sequined dress.
The newly minted mom of three captioned the post, “When we’re pregnant with a girl, we won’t make a big announcement, but there will be signs! 💕🙌🏼”
