Galinda and Elphaba’s looks aren’t gone for good.
Indeed, after filming Wicked and its sequel Wicked For Good, costume designer Paul Tazwell revealed where Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo‘s wardrobes from the film are now.
“They get archived by Universal,” Paul exclusively told Live From E!: Critics Choice Awards‘ Keltie Knight at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards hosted by Chelsea Handler, Jan. 4. “They’re held very carefully, thermostatically controlled.”
Although some looks have been put away, fans can still take a look at some of the wickedly beautiful pieces the designer—who is nominated in the Best Costume Design category for Wicked: For Good at the 31st annual ceremony airing on E! and USA Network—created for the John Chu-directed film. “They’re also loaned because I have an exhibit at the Griffin MSI Museum in Chicago,” he added. “So, there will be a number of Wicked costumes from the first Wicked. That will be showing that and people can go and experience them for themselves in person.”
