Meghan Markle left a lasting impression on her Suits costar, Patrick J. Adams.
In this week’s PEOPLE in 10 interview, the actor, 44, revealed the surprising lesson he learned from the Duchess of Sussex while filming the beloved legal drama.
The topic of conversation came up as the Wayward actor was discussing the possibility of appearing an upcoming season of With Love, Meghan, alongside his wife, Troian Bellisario.
Adams joked that he could take pictures of the food segments for the show, and credited Meghan for having “tricks of the trade, and things that she’s amazing at doing that most of us wouldn’t think about doing.”

One of the best things he learned from Meghan? How to pack a travel bag instead of just “throwing stuff in,” he said.
“You could imagine Meghan would be like, ‘You pack a bag by folding it perfectly and putting [dryer sheets],'” he said, noting that she puts dryer sheets in her travel bag when she packs it.

The tip was something Adams says was something he thought was “so genius.”
“I never would have thought of that,” he added.
Meghan and Adams’ characters — Rachel Zane and Mike Ross, respectively — were love interests on the show and ended up getting married onscreen. They starred on the USA Network series from its start in 2011 until season 7.
At the time of Meghan’s exit, she was in a relationship with Prince Harry and went on to marry him in May 2018. The show continued on for another two seasons before wrapping in 2019, and Adams came back as a recurring character in the final season.
When asked if he could ever imagine the cast of Suits reuniting for a revival, Adams said he’s open to the possibility.
“I am open to it,” he said. “It’s a group of people that we got along [with] and we had this amazing experience together, and we had this rare situation where it got even more popular after we all dispersed, so I don’t know.”
“I always feel like with these things, if the demand is there and ultimately the script and the story are of interest, and it makes sense, then I think anything is possible,” continued Adams. “You know these things can feel like money grabs sometimes, just like, ‘Let’s just take advantage of the popularity of this thing,’ and I think everybody involved would want it to be something pure of purpose and really do justice to the original.”

Though a revival has not been confirmed, Adams has been revisiting the series lately after they launching a rewatch podcast, Sidebar: A Suits Watch Podcast, with costar Sarah Rafferty following the show’s resurgence on Netflix.
Following the podcast’s launch, Adams said Meghan reached out to him, saying it was “so lovely to still have that kind of support and friendship after so many years apart.”
“Upon hearing about the podcast, I got a lovely text, saying how excited she was for us and asking how she could help in any way,” Adams — who is next set to star in Netflix’s thriller series Wayward — wrote on a Reddit thread in October 2024.
In March, Meghan told PEOPLE that she is “not surprised that people are rediscovering Suits, because it was so well written and so well produced.” She also revealed that she kept the pencil skirt she wore in the first episode.
