NEED TO KNOW
Nicole Eggert is grateful for how far she’s come in her cancer journey.
In a new interview with the New York Post published Wednesday, Sept. 10, the 53-year-old Baywatch alum revealed how life has changed since being diagnosed with breast cancer and undergoing her second mastectomy.
“I feel really good,” Eggert told the outlet.

“I just had my second mastectomy, and I had reconstruction, and my pathology reports came back clear,” she continued, while sharing a couple of perks. “I get to wear really small bras, and I’m really happy with my boobs.”
Eggert said her doctor gave her “the cutest little boobs, and I’m healthy, and all my reports are clear.”
The actress revealed her stage 2 cribriform carcinoma breast cancer diagnosis exclusively to PEOPLE in January 2024, though she’d known about it and been dealing with it privately since early December 2023.
She initially thought the “terrible pain” in her left breast was due to menopause, but decided to see a doctor after discovering a lump during a self-exam.
“It really was throbbing and hurting,” Eggert told PEOPLE. “I immediately went to my general practitioner and she told me I had to immediately go get it looked at. But the problem was I just couldn’t get an appointment. Everything was booked. So I had to wait until the end of November to get it done.”
“This journey’s been rough for me,” she added at the time of life after her diagnosis.

In her conversation with The Post, Eggert admitted the process still comes with its fair share of challenges.
“I think looking at death is a really hard thing to do, and I never thought that I would be doing that,” she told the outlet. “But to look at death in the face and go: Oh, this is a thing, and now I have to get everything in order, and I have to tell my kids, and all this.”

The actress is a mom to two daughters — Dilyn, 27, whom she shares with Justin Herwick, and Keegan, 14. She has not revealed the identity of Keegan’s father.
“Then once you get through that, I think that there’s something really beautiful on the other side of that,” Eggert told The Post. “I think that was the most important thing I took away from it. Enjoy your life. Get at it. Quit being afraid, quit living in fear, and live to the fullest every day, all the time.”
Eggert hosts the podcast Perfectly Twisted with Nicole Eggert and appears in the A&E documentary series Secrets of Celebrity Sex Tapes.
