NEED TO KNOW
Miranda Lambert is mourning the loss of two of her longtime farm animal friends.
The country music singer announced the news in an Instagram tribute shared on Friday, Nov. 21, in which she revealed that two of her miniature horses, Sugar Pie and Adrianna, died on the same day. She also shared photos and videos of herself with the animals to commemorate their loving relationship.
“My sweet little nugget’s Sugar Pie and Adrianna crossed over the rainbow bridge today,” Lambert, 42, began in her post, adding, “I’ve had 18 years with these littles, and I can’t tell you how much joy they brought me.”
She continued, “The best part about being an animal mom is the joy. The worst part is when the time comes to say goodbye.”
“Godspeed little bitty’s. I know you are both in greener pastures as I type this. I’ll see y’all again one day. Big love,” she concluded.

This isn’t the first time in recent years that the Grammy winner has had to say goodbye to beloved members of her pet family. In June 2024, she shared that she had lost two of her rescue dogs — Delta Dawn, a Chihuahua and pug mix, and Louise, a Great Pyrenees — within six weeks of one another.
“In the last 6 weeks, two of the best and most loyal friends I have ever had have left this earth,” she wrote in a two-part Instagram post at the time.
“I’m so heartbroken to have lost them,” she continued, adding, “To love this big you have to hurt just as big, [and] they are worth it.”
Lambert often shares photos of animals from her Nashville ranch on social media, sometimes even referring to them as her “farmily.” She also frequently posts about the importance of adopting pets from rescue shelters and supports these efforts through her MuttNation Foundation.
