Miley Cyrus is seemingly responding to criticism that she dismissed fans during an album signing event in London on Saturday, June 21.
Cyrus, 32, appeared at London record store Rough Trade East alongside friend and collaborator Naomi Campbell to sign unreleased Something Beautiful vinyls.
However, after the event, a video circulated online of Cyrus and Campbell, 55, sitting at the table together and chatting amongst themselves as a fan approached them. When one fan stood on the other side of the table, awkwardly hoping to get Cyrus’ attention, the Grammy winner briefly smiled for the photo with the fan and then turned back to Campbell to continue their conversation, prompting the fan to quietly walk away.
The video was posted to Reddit, and several users expressed their disappointment over Cyrus allegedly being dismissive of her fans. One viewer wrote, “Wow! That’s so inconsiderate & rude IMO.”
Another added, “They bought her album and her behavior towards them is so inconsiderate and dismissive. I wonder if they also paid for the signing/photo op too.”

But on Tuesday, June 24, Cyrus seemingly addressed the backlash in an Instagram post. She added a photo of herself alongside the supermodel, and then several videos of the pair signing vinyls, in an Instagram carousel.
“Our vinyl was originally set to drop a week later, but since we were both in London @roughtradeeast made it happen day of,” her caption began. “I wanted to gift my Smilers an exclusive experience & unreleased vinyl to thank you for the love you’ve shown me in the UK over the years. I saw so many familiar faces & met some sweet new ones.”

As she continued, she noted that “the record store requested no photos due to the unexpected last minute turn out.” She added that photographer Vijat M was able to snap photos of the event, “but we knew the night needed to be captured.”
“To everyone who came out to celebrate our single, we love you,” she concluded.
That same day, Cyrus’ visual film that accompanies her ninth studio, Something Beautiful, premiered in London. Her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, and his new girlfriend, Elizabeth Hurley, were spotted supporting her at the event.
The following day, the couple added a joint Instagram post of Hurley’s son, Damian, and Miley as turned toward a screen showing an image of the “Flowers” singer. “The babies are all grown up 🥹❤️,” the actress wrote.
In the comments on the post, Billy Ray wrote that the London premiere was “a night to remember.” He added, “This is what rock n’ roll is all about… the kids are together ❤️ SO PROUD xxx.”
