NEED TO KNOW
Mikayla Matthews is keeping up with TikTok trends, just weeks after welcoming daughter Lottie June on July 17.
In a recent video, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star, 25, took on the viral Nicki Minaj stiletto challenge that’s swept social media. Opting for a lower stiletto, the newly minted mom of four balanced while wearing a sleep mask over her eyes.
She focused on the one-legged pose on a step stool while holding her two-week-old daughter Lottie on one side and a handful of diapers in her other hand.

“How it feels balancing postpartum + 4 kids and being the breadwinner 👀✨,” the video, which shows the MomToker holding the pose for a bit before stepping off the stool.
“2 weeks postpartum yesterday and we are a whole new level of TIRED lol😅🙃,” she captioned the Instagram Reel. The reality star is also mom to daughters Tommie, 3, and Haven, 5½, and son Beckham, 8.
The trend is inspired by a pose the rapper does in the music video for her 2013 song “High School,” featuring Lil Wayne.
Mikayla’s costars were impressed with her take, with Taylor Frankie Paul, Mayci Neeley and Jessi Ngatikaura applauding her. However, others in the comments were a bit more divisive, noting how risky it was to attempt the challenge with a newborn.
While this trend has recently taken TikTok by storm, with users practicing their balancing skills on all sorts of objects, the trend has caused quite a few mishaps. Following influencer Mariana Vasiuc’s fall while attempting the viral challenge as a freshly postpartum mom, she sustained a spinal injury and raised conversation about the dangers of trying the daring balancing act under different circumstances.
In a separate clip related to another trend, Mikayla shared a video with Lottie, celebrating the beauty and power that comes with being a woman. Sharing photos from her birth experience and postpartum journey, she captioned the Reel, “Who run the world!?!?✨💅🏼.”
