NEED TO KNOW
Years after moving back to California, Meghan Markle is sharing the unexpected thing she misses about living in the U.K.
While chatting with Queer Eye star Tan France on a season 2 episode of her Netflix series With Love, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, 44, revealed one of her favorite radio stations from her time in England.
“Honestly, one of the things I miss the most about the U.K. is the radio station called Magic,” Meghan admitted.
“Magic FM?” France, 42, responded with a laugh. “Wow. Now, um, sorry to say this to you publicly, but that’s such a grandma station.”
Meghan said, “I’ll be that grandma. My favorite station in my car is called Mom Jeans. These are throwback, great sing-along, you forget they existed. I love it.”

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE earlier this year, Meghan also shared her affinity for Mom Jeans, a SiriusXM radio station that plays “nonstop vintage soft rock and pop.”
“If you like soft vintage rock and pop hits from the late ’80s and early ’90s from artists like Cher, Janet Jackson, Celine Dion, and Dan Hartman, then the SiriusXM app-exclusive channel Mom Jeans is the perfect fit,” boasts the Sirius website.
She told PEOPLE that even her kids — Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4 — get in on the fun.
“While it used to be all Kidz Bop all the time in the car,” she said. “Now for drop off and pick up, even Lili will say, ‘Can we listen to Mama Jeans?’ I’m like, it’s Mom Jeans, but yes, we sure can!”
Meghan was last in the U.K. when she and Prince Harry were in Europe for charity work, and they received news of Queen Elizabeth’s death at age 96 on Sept. 8, 2022.
Archie and Lilibet had not traveled with their parents for the initial trip, and Harry and Meghan made the decision not to fly them over for the funeral. They spent almost three weeks apart, their longest ever separation, Meghan said.
“I was… not well,” she admitted on With Love, Meghan.
France, who shares two sons with his husband, Rob France, agreed with Meghan.
“I need my boys. If I don’t see them for a couple days, I feel like my heart is broken,” he said.
After her family’s move to Montecito, California, she embarked on her own creative ventures through With Love, Meghan and her product line, As ever. She exclusively told PEOPLE ahead of the show’s launch in March that it’s been a “super joyful” and fulfilling journey so far.

“When your children get to a certain age — when you’re not just playing in the sandbox with them but almost playing in your own sandbox again — it’s super joyful,” she said. “As a woman, a mom and a wife, to be able to find yourself again — in a way that was always present but that you maybe couldn’t put as much attention on as you now can when your kids are a little bit older — is a wonderful feeling.”
