The cast of Dexter is returning for another spinoff series!
Dexter: Resurrection stars Michael C. Hall as Dexter Morgan, a forensic scientist who doubles as a serial killer hunter. The newest spinoff is a sequel to Dexter, Dexter: New Blood and Dexter: Original Sin. In the third spinoff series, the titular character searches for his missing son, Harrison Morgan (Jack Alcott), after he disappears in New York City.
In addition to Hall and Alcott, there are several actors reprising their roles. David Zayas will star as the original Miami Metro Captain Angel Batista, while James Remar will return as Harry Morgan, Dexter’s late adoptive father.
Meanwhile, Dexter: Resurrection, which premieres on July 11, will also have new faces in the cast. Peter Dinklage joins the cast as Leon Prater, Uma Thurman as Charley, Kadia Saraf as Detective Claudette Wallace, Dominic Fumusa as Detective Melvin Oliva and Emilia Suárez as Elsa Rivera.
On the hit TV show, Hall plays a man of mystery and intrigue, but in reality, he has a quiet life with his wife, Morgan Macgregor, whom he married in 2016. Similarly, Dinklage has been with his wife, Erica Schmidt, for over 20 years.

Michael C. Hall and Morgan Macgregor

Michael C. Hall, who plays Dexter Morgan, has been married to his wife, Morgan Macgregor, since 2016.
Hall and Macgregor have kept a fairly private relationship over the years, but they made their red carpet debut at the Emmy Awards in 2012. They tied the knot on Feb. 29, 2016, at City Hall in N.Y.C.
In 2018, Hall made a rare comment about his marriage and raved about how Macgregor, who is a book reviewer and writer, is “incredible.”
“It’s the charm,” Hall told The Daily Beast in November 2018. “She’s just an incredible friend and is a remarkable combination of intelligence and kindness, and she’s able to tell me the truth in a way that I can stomach.”

Peter Dinklage, who plays newcomer venture capitalist Leon Prater, has been with his wife, Erica Schmidt, for over 20 years.
The Game of Thrones actor and Schmidt, who is an award-winning playwright and theater director, met through mutual friends in 2003 and eloped in 2005. The couple share two children, a daughter born in 2011 and a second child welcomed in 2017.
Although both Dinklage and Schmidt are public figures, they have kept their kids and most of their relationship out of the spotlight. However, after Dinklage won an Emmy Award in 2018 for GOT, he specifically thanked Schmidt.
“Thank you, Erica, for putting up with me. I’m very temperamental and I love you very much,” he said at the time.
David Zayas and Liza Colón-Zayas

David Zayas, who plays Angel Batista, is one-half of a power couple! He has been married to Liza Colón-Zayas since 1998.
Just like her husband, Liza is also a successful actor and won her first Emmy Award for her role in The Bear in 2024. During her acceptance speech, Liza specifically thanked David, saying, “Thank you to my husband David Zayas, he told me to write a speech and I didn’t, because I didn’t think it would be possible.”
The two actors got to work together on a season 3 episode of The Bear, and she told Variety that she was “really happy” about the dynamic.
“He was so happy to be there, and got along with everybody,” Liza said in 2024. “He’s played a lot of villains, and just to be this really, genuinely good man — he was so excited … I love working with him.”
Jack Alcott and Izabela Vidovic

Jack Alcott, who plays Harrison Morgan, is in a relationship with Izabela Vidovic. She is a singer and fellow actor who is known for her roles in Homefront, Wonder and The Fosters.
The couple began dating in 2023 and frequently poke fun at each other on their social media pages. Alcott’s Instagram bio reads, “My gf says I’m cool and special.”
In November 2024, both Alcott and Vidovic posted pictures together to celebrate their first anniversary. Alcott captioned his post, “Guys it’s been a year and she still likes me,” while Vidovic joked back by captioning her post, “It’s been a year and I still like him.”
Uma Thurman

Uma Thurman, who plays newcomer Charley, appears to be single.
She was most recently linked to Bloomberg Media Group CEO Justin B. Smith in 2021 after The New York Times reported seeing them at a party together in Washington, D.C. However, Thurman never publicly commented on the romance.
Prior to her most recent rumored relationship, Thurman was linked to architect Peter Sabbeth and Chateau Marmont hotelier André Balazs. She was previously engaged to French financier Arpad Busson in 2008, and they had an on-again, off-again relationship until 2014. Thurman and Busson welcomed daughter Luna in 2012.
The actress was previously married to Ethan Hawke from 1998 to 2003, and they share two children: daughter Maya (born in 1998) and son Levon (born in 2002). Her first marriage was to actor Gary Oldman from 1990 to 1992.
Kadia Saraf and Terry Serpico

Kadia Saraf, who plays the new character Detective Claudette Wallace, is married to fellow actor Terry Serpico.
He is best known for his role as Chief Tommy McGrath on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Serpico met Saraf when she appeared as a guest star on the popular crime show in July 2021.
“She was focused and well-spoken and attractive and exceptionally smart,” he told The New York Times in July 2022. “I was drawn to her … I was fascinated and inspired by her. I remember telling my son later, ‘This woman is out of my league.’ ”
After dating for less than a year, the couple tied the knot in June 2022 in Beacon, N.Y. Saraf has three children and Serpico has two children from their previous marriages.
Dominic Fumusa and Ilana Levine

Dominic Fumusa, who plays newbie Detective Melvin Oliva, has been married to actress and podcast host Ilana Levine since 2002.
The couple met while they were both working on a play at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., as he told WWD in 2011. Fumusa and Levine share two children, daughter Georgia and son Caleb, and they reside in N.Y.C.
On Oct. 13, 2023, Levine celebrated their anniversary by posting a selfie with Fumusa on Instagram. She wrote in the caption, “I’ll cross every bridge with #dominicfumusa Happy Anniversary best friend ❤️.”
Emilia Suárez and James Olivas
Emilia Suárez, who plays new character Elsa Rivera, is dating fellow performer James Olivas. The couple began dating in 2023 and celebrated their two-year anniversary on June 13, 2025.
“two years ago we went on our first date and it’s pretty much been game over ever since!!!!!!!!!” she captioned photos of them kissing in front of a sunset.
Olivas is also a successful performer and is starring as Juan Perón alongside Rachel Zegler for the West End revival of Evita.
