NEED TO KNOW
Mauricio Umansky is navigating the dating world again — with a little help from his daughters.
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, the luxury real estate broker and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum opened up about being in what he described as his “era of being single” and dating. Mauricio, 55, and estranged wife Kyle Richards announced their separation in July 2023 after 27 years of marriage.
“I’m alone. I’m single. I’m dating. I guess that’s my era,” The Agency founder told PEOPLE, sharing that his daughters give him relationship advice.
He shares Alexia, 29, Sophia, 25, and Portia, 17, with Richards, 56, who also has a 37-year-old daughter, Farrah Brittany Aldjufrie, from her previous marriage.

“They always talk to me about it,” Mauricio said of his dating life. “The biggest advice that they give from their perspective is: ‘Dad, we want you to be happy. We want you to enjoy yourself, but be age-appropriate.’ ”
“They try,” he continued. “They want me not to be photographed and be out there, particularly with somebody I’m just on a first date with or something like that.”
Mauricio added that he, in turn, offers relationship wisdom to his girls.

“I have such an open relationship with them and such a friendship. We’re just super straight-up,” he said. “One of the things that they’ve always said to me is that they really appreciate just honesty and just being real about everything. I definitely talk to them about their relationships, where they’re at.”
“One daughter marriage, other daughter dating, another daughter in high school, super starting to date,” Mauricio continued, referring to Alexia, Sophia and Portia, respectively. “So I get the glimpse of that.”
Amid his single life, Mauricio recently posed for a steamy series of photos as the new face of ARI for the lifestyle brand’s 2026 campaign.
“I’ve got the shirt unbuttoned and some of them showing off my entire Dancing with the Stars body!” he told PEOPLE, referring to his stint on season 32 of the dance competition show.
Asked whether his DMs have gotten a little busier thanks to his sizzling shoot, Mauricio said he’s unfazed.
“I’m used to it between all of whatever we’ve done, 15 seasons of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. I was still on this one, Dancing with the Stars, all of that stuff, so I’m certainly used to it,” he explained.

“I’m not a guy who flocks to the DMs,” the star added. “They’re there. People can send them, but I can’t guarantee you I’m going to look at it or respond. Keep them guessing.”
