NEED TO KNOW
Mandy Moore has her sights set on the Great White Way.
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, the actress and singer, 41, says that after more than two decades in Hollywood, there is one specific item that remains on her career bucket list.
“One day doing Broadway, doing theater, is sort of what remains on a pedestal for me,” Moore — who has partnered with anti-RSV medication Beyfortus — admits.
“It terrifies me, but also the idea of it thrills me more than anything. So one day, hopefully, that will come to fruition. We’ll see,” she adds.

When it comes to the subject matter she’d want to pursue on Broadway, off-Broadway or elsewhere, Moore admits she isn’t picky.
“I think I’m pretty open to when the timing is right and the right project sort of presenting itself,” the star says.
“Maybe it’s something original, maybe it’s a revival of something. I’m kind of open to right place, right time, whatever it is,” she adds.

Moore rose to fame with her 1999 debut single “Candy.” She continued to release music and then later took on various film and television roles, including ones in Tangled, A Walk to Remember and The Princess Diaries, to name a few.
While attending the 2025 Inspiration Awards benefiting Step Up in Los Angeles in September, the mother of three said she was grateful to have navigated her early years of fame before the age of social media.
“I feel really, really lucky, because I was still able to be a regular 15-year-old and have this incredible job and opportunities that I never could have fathomed, but I’m still able to be a kid,” Moore explained. “I could go to the mall, I could go to amusement parks, I could go to the homecoming dance at my old school with my friends. I was still very much allowed to toggle between both worlds, and I never felt overwhelmed.”

Moore currently hosts That Was Us, a This Is Us rewatch podcast, with former costars Chris Sullivan and Sterling K. Brown.
Coming up, the SAG Award winner and Emmy and Golden Globe nominee has a few projects in the works, including a new television series that will see her reteam with This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman.
The upcoming NFL show will feature Moore in the role of Lauren, daughter of Hank (William H. Macy) and the heir apparent to her father’s world.
The cast of the series, which is untitled and will stream on Hulu, will also star Christopher Meloni, who will play the head coach of an NFL team.
