NEED TO KNOW
Amber and Matt Barnett are celebrating seven years of marriage.
Amber, 33, shared a post to social media on Friday, Nov. 14, in celebration of her anniversary with Matt, 35.
“Seven years ears ago we literally had no idea what we were getting ourselves in to…” she began her lengthy caption, alongside a photo taken of the Love Is Blind stars on their wedding day.
“But the moment I met you and felt literal sparks all the way down to my toes, I knew whatever happened it was gonna be good, like retelling adventure stories at holiday parties kind of awesome,” she continued.
“Now, here we are all this time later, parents to a real live human being who I’m certain is an actual angel on Earth, still with no idea what we have gotten ourselves in to,” Amber joked. “I’m gonna go ahead and say damn it feels good to be right because I may not have known what it would be, but I did always know it would be you.”
Also in Amber’s post was a quote that read: “You were always mine, I just had to find you.”
“Our life together has been such an amazing adventure that’s only getting better every year,” she finished. “Happy Anniversary my love! Cheers to 7 and 70 more😘🥰.”

The couple found love during the first season of the hit Netflix series and tied the knot on TV. Since then, they’ve been candid about their relationship together — and welcomed their first child, a daughter, in April.
Amber announced the happy news on Instagram, sharing a photo of herself in a hospital bed, seemingly taken just moments after her daughter’s arrival. In the image, both she and Matt have their hands resting on their newborn as she nestles against her mom’s chest.
“Baby Barnett has arrived and is more perfect than anything I could’ve dreamed,” Amber wrote in the caption. “If you hadn’t guessed yet Baby B is a She and I literally still can’t believe the hospital let us take her home and that she is actually ours.”
She continued: “It may be the hormones but @barnettisblind and our baby girl have my heart so full I can hardly function, I hope this feeling never goes away 🩷.”
While celebrating their second anniversary in November 2020, Amber told PEOPLE that they may have a second wedding someday.
“I would love to do another wedding. There’s no rush on it. We’re married now, but at some point,” she said. “We’re still having a lot of fun. Like I said on the show, ‘Joke’s on my mom! She thought I was going to settle down and Matt’s just as wild and adventurous as I am!’ ”
At the time of the couple’s proposal, Amber said she challenged her husband-to-be with a non-negotiable before saying “yes,” explaining that she needed more “emotional connection” from him and she couldn’t be the only one always opening up emotionally.
“I’m really proud that I didn’t just jump into it,” she shared. “I was like, ‘I need to know that you really need this. You are sure that you’re in this because we’re going to make it work.'”
Matt’s response made it easy for Amber to accept the proposal. “He goes, ‘I’ll do whatever you want to make you happy. I love you,'” she recalled. “I just started crying and I was like, ‘Yes! Yes! I’ll marry you!'”
All nine seasons of Love Is Blind are now streaming on Netflix.
