Lil Wayne was forced to cancel a recent concert.
On Monday, Aug. 11, the 42-year-old rapper was set to perform at Toronto’s Budweiser Stage, but pulled out due to “unforeseen illness.”
“Due to unforeseen illness, Wayne’s Toronto show tonight will be postponed,” the venue began a statement on X. “As his fans know, he loves putting on nothing short of the best performances for those who come out, and he was so excited for this one.
They continued in a separate post on the platform: “Please stay tuned for the new date coming soon. All previously purchased tickets will be honoured for the new date once announced.”

PEOPLE has reached out to Wayne’s reps for comment.
Wayne is currently in the midst of his Tha Carter VI tour, which kicked off in Virginia Beach, V.A. on Aug. 1 and includes stops in Detroit, Los Angeles, Dallas and more before wrapping up on Oct. 2 in West Palm Beach, Fla. at iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre.
Special guests , including French Montana, Tyga, and NoCap, are joining him on select dates, while Belly Gang Kushington is appearing across all performances.
In May, the “Love Me” artist’s on-off girlfriend Denise Bidot accused him of physical abuse, of breaking up with her via text on Mother’s Day and more.
In multiple posts on her Instagram Stories, the 39-year-old model made her claims, beginning with a text post.
“Breaking up with someone on Mother’s Day is diabolical. Prayers up though. God always pulls me through. Walking with faith,” Bidot wrote.
In a video where her daughter nodded her head in agreement in the background, she continued: “Wayne literally kicked me and my daughter out on Mother’s Day today. I am just recovering from surgery. I am five weeks out from a whole mommy makeover. I can’t even lift boxes.”
“But this man has his assistants coming to help kick us out today … and [he] broke up with me on Mother’s Day through text,” said Bidot, adding, “And [my daughter’s] birthday’s next weekend.”
At the time, reps for Lil Wayne did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
Bidot added that she was “unsure how to even process my emotions.”
If y’all got lawyer recommendations, please send them,” she continued. “I know he has two girls being flown in today, and who knows how many plethora of girls he has. I’ve been nothing but supportive to this man, loved him till the end of the f—ing world.”
