Leslie Bibb is reacting to Sarah Silverman untangling a mystery surrounding her The White Lotus character.
At the Soiree at Sunset Tower, held in partnership with OLAPLEX on Wednesday, June 4, Bibb, 51, tells PEOPLE exclusively about her thoughts on Silverman’s inquiry. Silverman had asked series creator Mike White why Parker Posey’s character pretended not to know Leslie Bibb’s when they ran into each other at the hotel — something that had long puzzled fans.
“Thanks, Sarah Silverman,” she laughs.
“I mean, it was just one scene. That was it. But isn’t it crazy? Everybody’s like, ‘We need more.’ It’s so crazy what sticks, because when you read the script, it didn’t feel like, ‘we need more of this’, or something. But then when you see the show, everyone’s like, ‘No, we need more of this,'” Bibb tells PEOPLE of the scene.

“I remember feeling like I just gave Parker… my partner and I presented her with the Gotham Award,” Bibb said of co-star Parker Posey’s recent Legend Tribute award win at the 2025 Gotham TV Awards on Tuesday, June 3.
“And I watched that clip of that. Sam [Rockwell, who plays Frank on The White Lotus] is like, ‘You’ve got to watch it.’ So, I watched that clip and I was like, ‘Oh my God, she’s so terrible to me,’ Bibb said of her character Kate Bohr’s interactions with Posey’s character.
Bibb adds, “Poor Kate. Nobody remembers. Nobody remembers poor Kate.”
During a Wednesday, May 28, appearance on LIVE with Kelly and Mark to promote her new Netflix special PostMortem, Silverman, 54, reminisced about starring in School of Rock in 2003 alongside White Lotus creator Mike White.
“I love pointing out to people that Ned Scheebly [White’s School of Rock character] is the guy who writes all of the White Lotuses,” she told cohosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos.

When Consuelos, 54, asked if Silverman ever reaches out to her former costar with questions while watching the White Lotus, she revealed that she did text White, 54, about the cryptic scene from season three in which Bibb’s Kate has a frosty interaction with North Carolina wife and mother Victoria Ratliff, played by Parker Posey.

In the scene, Kate insists that she knew Victoria and that they had a mutual friend. However, the matriarch of the Ratliff family was not interested in conversing and thoroughly iced her out, returning to her season-long quest for Lorazepam in the Thai resort.

“I loathe doing that because I feel like everyone must be asking him, but I did. I did text him out of this one, I emailed him and I said, ‘What’s up with Leslie Bibb — how come we didn’t find out why Parker Posey iced Leslie Bibb?’ ” Silverman admitted.

She continued, saying, “‘Why did she pretend not to know her? Is it something you didn’t get to that got cut out, or like, what’s the answer?’ And he goes, ‘No, I was just showing that she’s a bitch.'”
Bibb’s character Kate Bohr stays at the Thai resort in The White Lotus’ third season alongside her two childhood friends in a girl’s trip gone wrong.
