Lady Gaga finally made her debut on Wednesday season 2, but fans are less than pleased.
After a months-long wait to see the Grammy winner, 39, take on the role of Rosaline Rotwood in the Netflix hit, viewers expressed disappointment in her lack of screen time. While her performance itself received praise, the two short scenes that totaled less than two minutes across two episodes left people waiting for more.
“Lady Gaga’s role in Wednesday? ok thanks for nothing,” a user wrote on X.
Another added: “While I love Gaga she’s severely underused in Wednesday. Disappointed but I’m only on episode 7 – we’ll see what happens in the finale.”

Some pointed out that the cameo was expected to “be quick,” but many remained unsatisfied.
“Can you believe they hyped lady gaga’s role in Wednesday only for her to have two minutes of screen time including that horrendous cgi scene,” one X post read.
However, other fans had no problem with Gaga’s brief appearance.
“Lady Gaga ate her role up on Wednesday 🫰🏿,” someone wrote, as another declared: “Seeing lady Gaga in Wednesday is just what I needed.”
Gaga’s character was introduced in the second batch of the show’s latest installment, which dropped on Sept. 3.
In episode 6, Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) goes to visit the grave of the pop icon’s Rosaline, who is a deceased Nevermore professor known for her second sight, after losing her powers in part one. While her grandmother (Joanna Lumley) was encouraging it, she warned Wednesday to “proceed with caution.”
As Wednesday makes her way toward the grave, she incites the Latin inscription: “Be warned. Should my gaze be broken, a deadly trick I will play.”

It is then that Gaga appears — as Rosaline — offering to help Wednesday despite predicting trouble in the process.
“The crack in your monochrome uniform is your overbearing arrogance,” Rosaline states.
Unfortunately, the late Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers) disrupts the spell with her presence, and she and Wednesday swap bodies in a Freaky Friday moment. As a result, Enid, in Wednesday’s body, learns from Rosaline how to reverse it.
Gaga’s fans also got to hear her new song, “The Dead Dance,” for the first time in episode 7 during a dance sequence featuring Enid and Agnes (Evie Templeton).

Earlier this year, the musician opened up to Tudum.com about how the song led to her landing the role on Wednesday.
“I immediately had a song in mind called ‘The Dead Dance,’ and I had started working on it,” she explained. “But once I knew it was going to be for Wednesday, I decided that I was going to work on it even more, and I made it extra special for the show. To me, when you know that music and pop culture and Tim Burton all come together with this cast, that’s a very special recipe.”
“So that’s why I’m here,” Gaga continued. “After that happened, they asked me if I wanted to be on the show, and I said, ‘Absolutely.’”
