Lady Gaga’s fiancé Michael Polansky is sharing what parenting might look like for the happy couple.
In a new cover story for Rolling Stone, the “Disease” singer, 39, and her fiancé Polansky shared that they’re hoping to become parents in the near future. Polansky shared that he and Gaga, born Stefani Germanotta, are inspired by friends Elton John and David Furnish’s brand of parenting.
“Their kids have turned out to be very happy,” Polansky said of John and Furnish’s sons Zachary, 14, and Elijah, 12, whom Gaga is godmother to. “The most important thing is making it feel like this is just our family, this is what we do.”

“Her being Lady Gaga and the art and all of it is not something that she has to compartmentalize away from her relationship with me of when she’s a mother,” added Polansky.
Gaga agreed, saying that the two are eager to become parents soon.
“Being a mom is the thing I want the most,” she said. “And [Polansky’s] gonna be a beautiful father. We’re really excited about that.”
Back in October, Gaga spoke with Stephen Colbert on an episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and shared that her next biggest goal is becoming a mom.
“I would like to do many things,” Gaga said. “All of these things are open. But, what I really want is to be a mom. That’s my next starring role, I hope.”
This wasn’t the first time the Grammy award-winning singer has shared she wants to become a mom. Less than one year after her engagement to Polansky, Gaga opened up about her hopes to become a mom in the next decade during an interview with Access Hollywood.
“I really want to be a mom,” she shared quietly, smiling. “The greatest vision I have is that.”

The musician also shared in a cover interview with Elle that she is “ready” to start a family and let her kids follow their dreams.
“That’s something Michael and I have talked about a lot — allowing our kids to be their own people,” the singer told Elle in the interview from January. “It’s such an intense thing for kids coming into the world.”
She continued, “And they’re told how to think and what to believe in and how to eat … I just kind of want to let my kids find out who they are.”
When the interviewer mentioned to her that children will naturally humble you as a parent, the A Star Is Born actress responded, “Oh, I’m ready.”
