NEED TO KNOW
Kristin Cavallari is not interested in dating actors.
The 38-year-old reality TV alum opened up on the Tuesday, Nov. 11 episode of her Let’s Be Honest podcast about why she isn’t looking for anyone involved in the acting profession for her next romance.
It began when she and pal Justin Anderson were discussing celebrity crushes, and Cavallari brought up meeting It Ends with Us star Brandon Sklenar, whom she met at the Stagecoach Music Festival.
“Brandon Sklenar for me is, like, he’s so hot,” Cavallari said. “And he’s that type of guy that I want, but I think he’s in a relationship, and he’s an actor, and I would never date an actor. And I mean, I’d, you know, if I had my chance, it would’ve been at Stagecoach.”
When Anderson asked her to elaborate on why she’s not interested in dating actors, Cavallari noted, “Their schedules are awful. He’s gonna be on set. Logistics wise, the scheduling would be a nightmare, and he wouldn’t be able to travel to me all the time.”

But that wasn’t the only reason Cavallari is steering clear of the Hollywood set.
“Also, typically, actors are very insecure, and I think that’s why they become actors because they’re seeking outside validation,” she said. “And I think a lot of them can be like, just really cheesy and just a bunch of nerds.”
For the Very Cavallari star, she thinks there’s a distinct difference between an actor and the characters they portray.
“We idolize these people — and they’re not a character — for words that were written for them,” she added. “It’s not sexy.”
Anderson agreed, calling actors “dorks” and grown up “drama kids.”
“The amount of drama and emotion that has to come with that type of [person],” Anderson claimed. “You know, they’d be crying, you’d have to hold them.”
“Like a little bitch,” Cavallari quipped.

Coincidentally, Cavallari’s high school boyfriend, Stephen Colletti, who appeared with her on Laguna Beach, went on to act on One Tree Hill.
Her longest relationship was with ex-husband, Jay Cutler, whom she was married to from 2013 until their divorce was finalized in 2022. The former couple share three kids, Camden, Jaxon and Saylor.

In June, Cavallari opened up to PEOPLE about her romantic history.
“I have not had issues when it comes to men, let’s put it that way,” she said at the time. “I think I’ve always had this attitude of a disassociation, almost, where I give off this energy of, ‘I don’t need you, because I’ve actually never needed a man.’ I still don’t need a man, I want a man. There’s a very big difference there.”
“And I’ve never had any sort of desperation when it comes to men,” she added . “I have made them chase me, and honestly, it’s mostly been unintentional. But it’s just that energy of like, ‘You need me, I don’t need you.’”
