KPop Demon Hunter’s Rei Ami, EJAE & Audrey Nuna Tease Potential Sequel to Netflix Movie | 2025 VMAs
You can bet you haven’t seen the last of Huntr/x.
Three months after KPOP Demon Hunters dropped on Netflix, subsequently becoming a sensation online, stars EJAE, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami addressed the possibility of a sequel at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards.
“Stay turned,” EJAE cheekily told E! News in an exclusive interview outside of UBS Arena Sept. 7. “Who knows, you know?”
Audrey, for her part, added, “We’re waiting as well for the call.”
Rei confirmed the cast still hasn’t heard anything, noting, “As soon as we know, we’ll let you know.” (See here for every star on the VMAs red carpet.)
Of course, the three singers admit they are still getting a handle on the fame that has come with the sensation of the original film. After all, the movie quickly became the most-watched film on Netflix, surpassing 236 million views on the platform.
“We’re all still processing,” Rei added of the film’s success. “It’s a lot. Every day it’s been a new milestone, a new record. Obviously so grateful and honored but it’s just really hard to process.”
