What, like it’s hard?
Hulu has renewed All’s Fair—its critically maligned series starring Kim Kardashian, Sarah Paulson, Glenn Close, Niecy Nash-Betts and Naomi Watts—for a second season, the streaming service announced on social media Nov. 24.
Despite receiving negative reviews, the legal drama’s first season—which at one point involved it having a zero percent on Rotten Tomatoes—has performed well for Hulu, with the streamer saying that the Ryan Murphy-created series notched the best debut on Hulu for an original scripted series in three years, generating 3.2 million worldwide views in its first three days.
In fact, All’s Fair’s failure to connect with critics became somewhat of a calling card for the series, with Kim herself even using its poor reception to promote the show on social media.
“Have you tuned in to the most critically acclaimed show of the year!?!?!?” she joked on Instagram Nov. 6, two days after its premiere. “All’s Fair streaming now on @hulu and @disneyplus.”
