Kevin Jonas is entering a new chapter in music!
During the Jonas Brothers’ Greetings from Your Hometown Tour stop in Boston on Saturday, Aug. 23, the 37-year-old musician surprised fans when he performed his first-ever solo song, “Changing,” onstage for the first time.
In a video posted by a concertgoer on X, Kevin told the audience as he appeared onstage with a guitar in hand, “I’m super nervous, so bear with me,” while music to the intro of the song played. He then started singing the lyrics to the new track as the crowd cheered.
No other details were shared about the solo song or when it might be released, leaving fans buzzing with excitement over the surprise performance.
Kevin is the only Jonas Brothers member not to have released a solo song — but it appears this might be changing in the near future.
The musician was last seen performing solo on the first season of the Jonas Brothers’ Disney Channel series JONAS, singing the song “Scandinavia,” in 2010.
Kevin’s brother Joe Jonas, 36, released his first solo track, “Say No More,” and subsequent debut solo album Fastlife in 2011. Meanwhile, brother Nick Jonas, 32, released his debut solo song “Jealous” in 2014.

At the Jonas Brothers’ concert on Saturday, several other surprises took place onstage as musical guests Jesse McCartney and JoJo performed. Actor Glen Powell also made an appearance onstage.

The band’s latest show comes a week after they surprised fans by bringing out Hanson at their concert in Virginia.
During the Aug. 15 show, Hanson — made up of brothers Isaac, Taylor and Zac — gave a nostalgic performance of their 1997 hit “MMMBop” onstage at the Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater.
Taylor, 42, wrote on Instagram following the performance, “A Beautiful night with @jonasbrothers @kevinjonas @nickjonas @joejonas,” adding, “(Happy Birthday Joe). Not a bad way to spend 24hrs!”
