Kelly Stafford has an unexpected parenting hack.
The 36-year-old mother of four detailed her feelings about weed gummies on the June 16 episode of her podcast, The Morning After.
“Sometimes I feel like gummies make me a better parent,” Kelly, who is married to NFL star Matthew Stafford, shared. “They calm me; it’s like the glass of wine.”

Podcast guest Kit Hoover affirmed Kelly’s assertion, saying, “I called it the glass of patience. By the time you get to bed and bath, it makes you a better parent.”
Kelly appreciated Hoover’s response, admitting, “I feel a little guilty saying that. And it’s not like I do it every night, but sometimes I’m like, s—, it has been a long day. I don’t wanna rip my hair out or their hair out, so I am going to just top it off with a little gummy.”
Hoover urged Kelly to cut herself some slack, especially when “it’s a s—– day, or the kids are acting s—–, or you’ve had enough.”
“It’s like, don’t sweat that small stuff. You are gonna blink [and] they’re grown up, and you’re gonna laugh so hard about all the shenanigans,” Hoover added.
Kelly, who shares daughters Sawyer, 8, Chandler, 8, Hunter, 6, and Tyler, 4, with the Los Angeles Rams quarterback, added, “This is what Matthew always tells me. He’s like, ‘As long as they’re in bed, fed, and happy and feel loved, who cares?’ “

Kelly added that while she feels “a little guilt” when she takes a gummy before dealing with her children, even they notice a difference.
“My kids and I laugh, and I feel like they’re like, ‘Mommy’s nice tonight,’ “ Kelly added. “And I get both sides. Some nights, I’m really mean. Some nights, I’m really nice. And I feel like that’s a good balance.”

Her gummy commentary isn’t the only way in which Kelly has gotten candid recently. Last month, the podcast host opened up about the plastic surgery procedures she underwent after welcoming her four children.
“I had my boobs redone, and you also did the tummy tuck, and you put back together my abs,” Kelly shared alongside her plastic surgeon, Dr. Garth Fisher, of her “mommy makeover.”
Of her 2021 transformation, Kelly noted, “I felt great after mine. I felt very confident.”
