Kelly Rowland cannot believe it’s been 25 years since “Survivor”!
Rowland, 44, and Method Man sat down to interview each other for Entertainment Tonight while promoting their new film, Relationship Goals. During the conversation, Rowland revealed a behind-the-scenes tidbit about the Destiny’s Child hit, the title track from their third album, that she’d never shared before.
“Funny enough, me and the girls were talking about this the other day. There’s a helicopter that comes down on the water. It’s getting closer and closer and closer because in the scene, we’re like, ‘Help us, we’re lost.’
Laughing, she continues, “My wig goes taking off, flying across the dirt beach!”

“I felt all this extra air and sure enough, my wig was off my head and down the beach somewhere. Somebody took that thing. It was gone.”
Method Man laughed and said he’d want to see the footage, to which Rowland noted, “Sony has it somewhere.”
Destiny’s Child, which also consists of Beyoncé and Michelle Williams, last reunited in July 2025 for the final date of Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter Tour.
Williams appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in Sept., saying the decision to reunite for the event was an “awesome, spur of the moment” decision.
Before the Cowboy Carter show, the trio, which also includes Kelly Rowland, reunited at Coachella in 2018 for Beyoncé’s headlining performance — and that one they had “a little more time” to prepare for,” Williams said.
“This one was, ‘Y’all let’s do this,’ and we did,” she said.
Destiny’s Child formed in Houston in the early 1990s and released their self-titled debut album in 1998. Their third and final album, Destiny’s Fulfilled, dropped in 2004. When asked if the trio would ever record together again, Williams gave a diplomatic answer.
“Anything is possible,” she said. “To me, performing on stage is like that for me… I only like it with Beyoncé and Kelly. But as far as Broadway, I’m a Broadway girl… Music? I only want to do it with them.”
