Keith Urban is asking fans not to read too much into the lyrics he changes during his performances amid his divorce from Nicole Kidman.
The musician, 57, recently took the stage at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena for the final stop of his High and Alive World Tour on Friday, Oct. 17, and made a few comments before belting out his 2002 hit “You’ll Think of Me.”
Urban said, “I’ve been covering like this for a long time. Stop reading s— into it. It’s called ‘You’ll Think of Me,'” per a video shared by a fan on TikTok.
The country crooner changed the original song’s lyrics, “But you’ll think of me,” and instead shouted, “But I betcha think about me!” while he also said “all your bulls— reasons” instead of singing, “Take your space and take your reasons.”

This isn’t the first time Urban’s changed lyrics have hit headlines recently. He also switched up the words in “The Fighter” — his 2016 chart-topping duet with Carrie Underwood, which was inspired by a conversation he had with Kidman before they were married — during a performance.
Urban’s utility player and rising country star, Maggie Baugh, shared a clip on Instagram, showing him changing the lyrics to include her name as the two took the stage together.
The original line “When they’re tryna get to you, baby I’ll be the fighter” was sung as “When they’re tryna get to you, Maggie I’ll be your guitar player” by Urban. Baugh, 25, added two emojis over the video: “🫣 🤯.”
“Did he just say that👀,” she captioned the clip. Baugh shared the footage on Saturday, Sept. 26, before news of Urban and Kidman’s split.
Kidman, 58, filed for divorce from the musician on Sept. 30 following 19 years of marriage, after the couple’s separation was reported the day prior. The pair, who married in June 2006, share two daughters — Sunday, 17, and Faith, 14.

Elsewhere during Urban’s Oct. 17 Nashville show, the Big Little Lies actress came up during a fan interaction.
“What’s your name?” the singer asked a member of the crowd, as seen in a video shared by media agency Nashville Experience on Instagram.
After she uttered a reply that the microphone did not pick up, Urban said, “What? I’m not going to like your name? What?” to which the fan quickly cleared up the performer’s confusion, answering: “It’s Nicole.”

Urban reacted with a sense of humor, bringing the microphone back to his face before dropping to the floor onstage, where he then lay for a moment as the crowd roared.
The “Blue Ain’t Your Color” musician also raised one of his arms up to the sky, seemingly in playful exasperation, before getting back up, the video showed.
